[Remember how she was looking for a weapon? Well. She chose a sword to train with, but decided to pick up something on the side. That weapon? A bow and arrow.

Those who wander around a secluded area of the park can find her practicing with her bow and arrow. Using a tree as a hit-marker.

She's not very good so don't make fun of her, plz.]

This is harder than I thought... [Q_Q]

[ Just walking around the park, he's looking for some place to practice as well, really, but.. then he spots her instead, and he raises an eyebrow when he notices her use of the bow and arrow. She got a weapon after all, huh?

(And that arrow is way off target, but that's another issue entirely.) ]

... Are you alright? [ He can't help but approach. ]

[Luckily, since she has run into him before, the familiarity of the voice strikes her before fear does. Stopping in place, and turned her head to be greeted with the person she matched the voice up to.]

Mm hmm. I'm just practicing something on the side.

You should be careful though.

[ The tone isn't really scolding, it's more a little gentle. ]

You could potentially hurt yourself with such a weapon. Or someone else you did not mean to hurt.

I couldn't find anywhere else to practice.

[She was expecting to get scolded at. Though his voice did not seem like he was, so she remained very polite and happy.] I tried to find a place where no one was around.

... It is alright. [ He's not as worried about her hitting other people as much as potentially hurting herself, though.. ]

Do you perhaps need some help with the practice..?

Okay... [If he was sure, then she wouldn't wander on it. Though she beams up at him at the second bit.]

[ Really, as if he could refuse with her beaming like that. He nods back. ]

Of course I do not mind. I do not have many other things to do right now. [ and even so.. helping out a child is more important, right? ]

[She wouldn't want to take too much of his time! A part of her is becoming more and more considerate to those who surround her.]

We can make this really quick so I don't take up too much of your time.

[ He shakes his head. ]

You do not have to do so. [ Really, he's genuine when he says he has plenty of time - and spending it on her is not even a bother. ]

I will be here for as long as you require my help.

[This is the second time that they have met.

Ayako was certain that he was definitely winning her over with his kindness. It was really sweet and not very normal for genuine kindness toward her to be displayed.] Have you used one of these before?

[ He bends down a little to be on a more even level with her, looking at the bow. ]

They are not my preferred weapon, but in war it is important to have knowledge of many weapons, so I have tried. It has been a while since I touched one of these, though.

Don't hurt yourself while you try to teach me, okay?

[She appreciates it a lot. Plus, she's oddly comfortable with him now, so that was a plus.]

[Watching, she nods. Carefully bringing up the sharper weapon first, then the bow.]

[ He does have some bow shooting technique, and it's easily seen in the way he wields the bow - drawing back the string, and then letting it go.. and thanks to his accuracy gained with the slingshot, the arrow is right on target. ]

[Well. Now she's put to shame for missing all her targets. Only not really, because she was definitely a beginner still.]

You're really good at this. [She tilted her head, blinking.]

I've merely had practice. And it would have been easier with a slingshot. [ this actually took a little effort compared to that.. ]

But I am sure that in time you will be able to do that much as well.

Can you teach me the form? I don't think I've been holding it right... [She makes a face.] I saw it in a cartoon and I copied what I saw.

[ Heck if he knows what cartoons are even after all this time here, he doesn't really watch TV.. but he can sort of understand it's probably not something that's good to copy. ]

Here, just hold the bow again. [ handing it back to her.. ] Show me your way of holding it.

[Making a face, she takes hold of the bow again and shows him a very flawed form, and probably dangerous for her hand to be near the arrow like so.

[ Okay, that's a start.. He bends down to be on the same level as her, and slowly - pretty gently too, so she doesn't get scared and get herself hurt on that arrow with a sudden movement - he takes her hands, moving them to a better position bit by bit. ]

See? It is a little more like this.

[She still wasn't used to physical contact. However, she's much better about it. So there's nothing more than a slight shiver and a tight grip on the bow.

Now she just looks determined.] Then do I just let go of the bow?

Yes, just pull it back exactly like this and then let it go. If you aim well, it should be fine.

[ a nod, and something slightly warmer than usual creeps into his expression - not quite a smile, but still. ]

I have faith in you.

[His words somehow -- Just somehow make her blush and she completely drops the weapon and huffs. Still not used to such a positive figure and what not.]

O-Okay... [Taking a breath in, she slowly leaned back down to grab what she had dropped prior and took a few steps back. Her stance much more poised.

Once she was ready, she had her target be the tree that had taken no hits from her previous tries.

Luckily for this new tree, it didn't have anything to worry about. Seeing that she hit the target spot on.]

Did... Did I make it?

[ There is some faint surprise when she drops the bow, and the blush - David is not used to anything remotely tsundere-like.. but he disregards it since she goes to pick up the bow again all the same, and when she shoots and hits it.. It's perfect. The warm hint in his expression is still there, even now as he nods. ]

You did. In fact, it was perfect.. straight on target, just like I knew you would.
