[010: Action]

[April rarely ever got sick; the last time she got sick was when she was a child. But messing around in the snow plus having been up for most of the night before resulted in April catching her first cold in years. She had felt fine that morning, but by the time she was at work, her boss told her to leave before she coughed and sneezed all over everything and everybody.

So now she found herself in the hotel lobby, having taken a seat in one of the chairs and finding that she just felt too tired to move. And any attempts to use the phone to ask for good ways to get rid of a cold only resulted in her staring at the phone for a few moments before putting it away, her head far too achy and fuzzy to be able to word anything properly.

So, she curls up in her chair with a sigh... followed by a loud sneeze.]

... Ugh... I forgot how much being sick sucked...

[Roommate spotted. Now to lineface at her.]

[... Dammit.

Her expression immediately turns sheepish as she peers up at him.]

Ah, h-hi, Ledah...

When did you get a cold?

... Earlier t-today. I was fine this morning, b-but by the time I got to work I was sneezing and coughing a lot, so my boss told me to leave. [And she sneezes again, followed by a few coughs.]

Shouldn't you be in bed resting, if that's the case?

[One of the best perks about staying on the first floor: easy access to the lobby at times like this. Saori walks over to April.]

April, how come you're not in your room and resting?

[She curls up a bit more in her chair as she turns her eyes to the floor.] I-I was gonna head up to our room, but then I sat down because I was tired and, um... [Her expression slowly turns embarrassed.]

... N-now I feel too tired to move and I didn't want to disturb you, so I-I thought it would be better to stay here...

If it's necessary, I can carry you. I've done so before.

[She gives Saori a sheepish smile.] ... I, ah, don't want to bother my roommate...

Wha- No, no it's okay! I-I'll be fine, I don't need to rest-[Then her sentence is cut off by some harsh coughing.]

I am less than convinced.

I'll be f-fine... And anyway, i-it's better if I stay down here, c-cause then there's less of a chance of you catching a cold.

I have always had a fairly healthy immune system.

I do too, b-but I still somehow got a cold. [Though he didn't stay up half the night before.

... She sighs, realizing that arguing with him is gonna go nowhere, and so she uncurls from her chair and shakily pushes herself to her feet, though she still wobbles for a moment.]

Do you want my arm to steady you?

[She has another coughing fit before she can answer, and then she gives him a small nod.] Yeah, i-if it's all right.

[Ledah puts his arm around her.]

It's fine, don't worry.

[She leans against him and gives him a small smile.] Thanks, Ledah.

Think nothing of it.

[Her smile brightens, before she rests against him a bit more. She's silent on the way back to the room, besides the coughing and sneezing which she tries to muffle with her shirt sleeve.]

[He's quiet most of the way, too.]

Do we have anything in the room for colds?

I'm not sure... I know there's painkillers, and I-I-[Achoo!]-I think we've got orange juice; I remember reading that's meant to help.

Then orange juice you will have. I'll buy more if necessary.

I'll p-pay you back if you do. [She sneezes again, before shivering and shifting closer to him.]

There is no need to do so.
