[Hello, Prospero. Your video feed is on. However, the person operating the phone doesn't seem to understand it, and you may hear a small, surprised squeak and see everything get a bit blurry as she tosses it a little ways away from her, confused and suspicious.

When it's settled, you can see at the corner of the video a little girl in a red kimono sitting on the ground with her knees drawn up to her chest, hugging her legs tightly and looking around. She seems entirely unaware that she's being watched through that device...]

[Sitting in his hotel room Itsuki sees the feed click on and an all too familiar form shown. Grabbing his phone he clicks on his own camera, not sure what to say at first. He had failed to protect her back in their own village. No instead he ran away, he killed himself. Left her all alone when she needed him most.

Come on Itsuki you have to do this! She is in a strange place! Be the good big brother and let her know you're here for her!]

Chitose? Chitose is that you?

[see that? Your little sister just about fell over there trying to look everywhere at once for the source of his voice]

Itsuki? Where are you? I can't see you...!

[Nice going Itsuki, think a bit more?]

Chitose it's alright, calm down. The item you tossed aside. Pick it up, I can talk to you through it.

Okay...

[the device had scared her, but she trusts her brother, so she hesitantly reaches over to pick it up - and nearly drops it again when she realizes she can see his face on the screen]

What is this thing? Where are you?

[she's trying not to panic but it's hard ;;]

It's okay, I know it's frightening. This device is called a phone, it allows people from all over hear and see each other.

As for where I am, I am in the same town as you. I live in a hotel here with quite a few others. Do not go outside though, you might get lost. This town is much bigger than Minakami Village.

[nods quite seriously, though most of that went right over her head. She doesn't understand how she went from being stuck in a closet in her house with Scary Things happening outside, to being out in the middle of an abandoned lot of some kind, but Itsuki's here, so it's okay.]

Can you... come and get me, Itsuki? I don't know where I am.

[Itsuki nods and looks thoughtful as he tries to place where she is from the small amount he can see.]

I can try, can you describe what's around you?

[His camera shakes as he seems to stand up and begin moving around...now just where did he kick that shoe off at...right.]

Um... well, the ground is dirt and stones... there's a metal fence, and... some big, weird machines on the ground.

[she squints, trying hard to see the blurry outlines of things outside of her limited range of vision]

There's houses, but they're... different. They don't look finished.

[seems like she might be in a (thankfully currently unused) construction zone?]

[Itsuki looks like he's in thought before he suddenly blinks and looks to be hurrying.]

I think I know where you are, it shouldn't take me too long.

[He's going to keep the feed open though so she can talk to him.]

[that makes her smile, very relieved to hear it] Okay.

... Itsuki, where are we?

It's hard to explain, apparently we are on an island that is on the east coast of the United States.

That's all I know about where we are.

[Another young girl peers at the screen with concern.]

[Upon closer inspection, his eyes followed the trail of darkness up until his eyes met with the girl's red kimono. A red kimono, that, quite frankly, was very familiar thanks to a certain video game he has played. Despite that, he confirmed his thought when it stopped at the young lady's face.

With a frown, Neah moved his camera so that it was facing him and the feed clicked on.

He was careful when speaking. Keeping his voice at a minimum level so that she could hear him, and also so it wouldn't frighten her too much.]

I can see up your kimono.

[Why oh why do you like to steal these poor, fragile girls, Prospero?]

Come, come, my dear. There's no need to be frightened. Find the little device you threw and we can talk, alright?

[United States, huh? She doesn't get that part either, but if Itsuki's here it's good enough for her.]

Okay. Is... is it safe here?

[no Repentance, right? No Malice, no living darkness to swallow her? :<]

[meep! Scrambling away from the phone now, staring at it with huge eyes]

Wh-who are you? Where are you?!

[thanks to the quiet, soothing tone of his voice, she's not as startled as she would have been, but she still jumps to her feet and looks around wide-eyed for the source of the voice, not replying to the question yet]

[she actually shrieks a little and scrambles backwards, away from the phone, staring at it in horror. It's... it's talking to her... and what a rude thing to say!]

[so rude, Prospero. :< Chitose starts at the sound of the voice, a soft, fearful whimper barely audible as she curls up tighter, looking around for the source. It sounds like it's coming from said device, and the speaker mentioned it, but... she can't see anyone at all...]

H-hello...?

[How does interact with kids]

Uh, hey! Where are you? Do you need help?

I'm someone using a different phone. My name is Sanaki - please calm down.

[how does interact with really terrified kids, at that... >> ones who have no idea what a phone is. She gasps and scrambles backwards, staring at the phone. Why is it talking... :|]

[sounds very suspicious. What is this phone thing you speak of and how is it talking...]

[He's gonna start running a bit now so the camera is getting jerkier, he saw the construction sight.]

It's safe as long as you do not go out around midnight. I'll explain why when I get to you. But don't worry, the Repentance can't get you here.

[He can't read minds no...but this is his little sister he's talking to.]
