9th Cheer [Video] - Sakurako crying alone with cats

[lunch_ticket_millionaire]

[The feed flicks on of its own accord to reveal Sakurako sitting on her bed, crying softly and hugging two cats closely - one with tan fur, the other with the same color fur and some darker brown spots.  She doesn't seem to be aware that her phone is broadcasting at the moment.]

Why John...?

[Sniffling, she lifts the plain-colored one up in front of her, as if asking it directly.  It tilts its head to the side, licks its paw, and smooths its fur down.]

What did he ever do to anyone?

[The spotted one meows in her lap, rubbing its face against her stomach and prompting a giggle.]

Th-thanks...

[Sakurako sets the first cat back down, and the two of them soon settle back in with her as she hiccups softly, wiping her eyes and sniffling again.]

[She just makes a quiet whining sound in the back of her throat and nods.]

[She hangs up, off to hurry to Sakurako's room.]

[The door's locked when V/V gets there, as one might expect with the unsolved murders and all.]

[She knocks twice.] It's me. Could you let me in?

[Voice]

Wait! Did John try to catch the killer by himself?

[There's a click at the door. Sakurako just heads straight back to her bed, flopping face down onto her pillow.]

[Voice]

[V/V sits down next to her, for the moment not saying anything..]

[Voice]

That's so... stupid! Why would he do that?

[Action]

[After about a minute of silently crying into the pillow, Sakurako springs up out of place without warning and hugs V/V tight. Now that there's someone here to comfort her, she's just letting it all out, sobbing almost hysterically into her friend's shoulder.]

[Voice]

His optimism is entirely unrestrained, to the point of underestimating his foes regardless of any and all warnings until it's too late.

But shadows are different! This guy is a murderer!

[V/V holds her gently, rubbing her back and letting her cry as much as she needs to.]

[The kitties hang around while this goes on too, one of them just quietly rubbing up against Sakurako's side while the other curiously sniffs at V/V's hand.]
