[A young man's face appears on screen, and he's smiling, though it looks a little bit strained.]

Hey! Can anyone here me? Hello? I think I've been kidnapped. Though uh… I gotta say. Whoever kidnapped me? Good timing. I was in a pretty rough spot, so thanks. I think.

[He stretches, and shakes his head, as if he's got way too much energy. … He probably does.]

So. Uh. I don't think that even if you're trying to kidnap me it'll do much good. There's only one person who I think would come after me and she'll probably uh… end up trashing the place before you can get anything from her.

[He scratches his head and shuts off the video.]

You're right to think you've been kidnapped, however none of us know why or even how we got here.

... That's... frustrating. There's no clues at all? There's always some kind of clue.

We do have a few clues of course, but nothing completely definite. And certainly not enough to really act on at the moment.

What kind of clues? Anything could be useful.

Religious cults, shady mayors, an extra hour at midnight with monsters...take your pick.

[He groans and sits on the back of a bench.]

Shady mayors aren't that weird. Religious cults again? I thought I was done with that shit when I died. And an extra hour with monsters? What kind of monsters?

We don't know much about them yet, people are still looking into it. The monsters when you see them outside look like dark shapeless masses, and then when you fight them they take on other forms.

... Great. I'll have to find a baseball bat or something. Whatever works for fighting them.

That works for some of them. There is a place in town that is willing to sell us weapons, even though the locals are unaware of the Dark Hour. However, just to warn you, there are a few that are immune to physical attack.

[Well, he seems to be taking the monster thing in stride. Let's see how he takes the next thing.]

Fortunately everyone who's been 'kidnapped' ends up gaining an ability called a 'Persona' that allows for more magical based attacks sometimes.

[He's glad he didn't remark on the dead thing - he probably shouldn't say that. But whatever.]

Money isn't such a huge deal here. The hotel's free and it comes with coupons, though I've found work is very easy to get.

And yes, it is. However in this place it is also something physical. Getting it to work is easy after you get it to work the first time. The first time happens when you need it most.

Not that I know of. However, you don't have to do it by yourself. A lot of people form groups when they're going out monster hunting.

Do you just drop in on one of these groups?

Depends on the group. I've heard people advertising on the network, or teaming up with people they already know.

I don't usually advocate violence, unfortunately it's a little necessary in our current situation.

I don't either. But I can see why it would be - if these things don't listen to diplomacy, sometimes there's only one way to claim your spot.

Tell me about it. Unfortunately it is the situation that we have to deal with, and with time those persona's can get extremely powerful.

[He runs a hand through his hair.]
