[Why is Sakurako on top of the high school during the Dark Hour?  That's a very good question, and one that's not going to be answered here, because there is some more pressing business to take care of first.  Namely, the fact that she's currently locked in single combat with her otherwise cheerful and adorable Persona, Maneki Neko.  Who knew the little guy had a bad side?  Certainly not Sakurako.  At any rate, it's pretty windy up there right now, due to the height of the location and the fact that it's a Wind-based Persona.] 

You too, huh?  Fine, then!  See if I care!  You're a worthless Persona anyway!  You can only fight at night, and you don't even have any healing spells!  Take this!

[Sakurako is yelling and screaming while attempting to unload a full round of bullets into the rogue Persona, though she's a terrible shot and is missing rather badly.  Meanwhile, her Persona is a much better shot, and the sharp wind is slicing into poor Sakurako like hundreds of tiny sickles made of air, shredding her clothing bit by bit and slashing open some rather nasty cuts.  If someone doesn't bail her out, she's probably not going to last much longer.]

[Eridan and his persona are still pretty weak, but he's going to be there to save the fucking day, if only to make himself look cooler. He takes aim with his rifle at Sakurako's PErsona, hoping that he's a better shot than she is.]

Don't fuck with her. Else you'll be facin' the wrath a' the fuckin' ocean.

[He almost has to be, considering that this is her first time ever shooting a gun. The shot connects, as Maneki Neko clearly wasn't expecting company. Sakurako, bleeding and half-naked already from all the wind attacks so far, whirls around in surprise.]

E-Eridan!

[Her Persona, however, is clearly not as happy to see him as she is, and turns its next attack on him. Get ready for some Garula!]

[Yep, He certainly gets hit by the attack. He's not going to go down that easily though, and pulls Sakurako behind him.]

The last thing I'm fuckin' wantin' is to see you dead. Don't worry, I've spent many a' sweep huntin' lusii like that. I can take a few blows.

Be careful! I'll try to help, but I don't really know how to use this thing very well yet.

[Sakurako peeks around from behind him with her revolver, badly aiming at Maneki Neko, who seems to have halted its assault for the moment in favor of glowing.]

That's Tarukaja! It's charging up!

((OOC: Her Persona is level 40, so it's actually fairly beefy, for reference.))

[Eridan knows that thing will probably make short work of them. He has trouble beating even the weaker ones.]

Chargin' up for what? Maybe we should be tailin' it out a' here.

Probably for another Garula. That's the only attack it really knows.

[And just for the heck of it, why not, she fires off a few more shots that go wide and miss completely.]

Where can we hide?

[Wherever it is, they'd better do it fast, because the next wind attack is about to come!]

We should be retreatin' inside. It'll be harder to do a windy thing in a buildin'

[And Maneki Neko lets loose with another attack.]

Hit the deck!

[As they're running, Sakurako slings an arm around Eridan's shoulder, pulling him down to the ground with her to try to avoid taking most of the hit.]

[Eridan actually blushes a little. Because what is being pulled on top of someone.]

[Sakurako blushes just a bit too, but only for a moment, since her Persona is still mounting a fierce assault. Scrambling back to her feet, she takes Eridan by the hand and quickly makes for the door to the stairwell.]

Slow it down while I get the door open!

[Welp. Eridan gulps He could run, and leave her behind, but that would leave him without a potential quadrant..But at this point even if he ran he'd be fucked. That thing is out for blood. He has to do this. He has to prove everyone wrong that he's not weak, that he's a worthy adversary. He gets up, almost reluctantly, and sighs.]

I'll do what I can... how the fuck do you even placate those fuckin' things?

[For its own part, Maneki Neko is charging up for another strong gust, so there's an opening.]

[Eridan does what he does best, shooting at angry lusii]

Doesn't seem to be doin' anythin' how long do I have to be keepin' this up?

[Not long, the door was just stuck.]

Got it! Hurry, come on!

[Sakurako grabs Eridan by the arm and yanks him through the door just as Maneki Neko lets loose another barrage of wind. Enough of it gets through to slice the two of them up some more, but the door's sturdy enough to have blocked the rest of the damage. Sakurako's breathing heavily by this point, slumped up against the wall.]

We need to figure out a better way to attack that thing...
