It arrives early in the day, sent anonymously but still easily traceable to one Hiyono Yuizaki if your character is the type who is not only able but curious enough to try:

Prospero beach.

You know what's awesome? FIREWORKS ARE AWESOME. They're being blown off, as per usual for the 4th of July. And guess what, there's a beautiful view of the fireworks display from the beach! Seems enough of the Prospero natives knew this, judging by the crowd. It's possible your character may have heard about it even without the text tip off, really.

Throughout the day, lots and lots of people will be at the beach with bonfires and barbecues. There are plenty of people braving the waters to splash around, and a number of children and adults alike building up sand castles all along the sand.

As day turns to night, the fireworks begin. There are still quite a few bonfires, and some people are lighting off fireworks of their own... sometimes drunkenly. But hey, at least the lights are pretty, right?

Day

[Hiyono is easily found hanging around the beach, probably with some kind of snack food in hand. Seems she went and found a cute straw hat just for the occasion, too!

If she recognizes your character she'll give a friendly wave. If not, she might just chat you up anyway.]

Night

[Hiyono is still around, having found a nice bench to watch the fireworks from. Her attention seems to be on the fireworks for the most part, but she's definitely keeping an eye on her surroundings too. Can't be too careful when you're a pure high school girl surrounded by goodness knows how many drunks or... something like that, anyway.]

Lucia stares up at the sky, sitting on top of a small wooden fence as she watches the fireworks go off. She's never been to an Independence Day celebration, but she still looks nostalgic.

Kaoru stands in the midst of an assortment of food stands, where everything from cotton candy to Hawaiian shaved ice to fries and gravy to deep-fried pickles is being offered. She stares, blank-eyed, with absolutely no idea what any of it is.

"Catgirl."

Mila walks up to her, her staggered walk only very slight and barely noticeable compared to when she was forcing her every move when they met during the Dark Hour. She grins.

"Nice job with those, huh?"

Hiyono frowns briefly at that nickname, but alas, she's probably not going to escape it. Kind of like how Narumi never deigns to refer to her by her name.

"They did! It's interesting to see what they do with fireworks on this side of the world." Hiyono props her head in her hands as she speaks, her gaze on the lights in the air. Of course, she's glancing at Mila every so often, too. "You look like you're doing better than that other night."

"Dark Hour does a number on me, is all." Mila shrugs. "I can actually move properly otherwise. Don't worry, I have a way around it now. As for the fireworks, yeah, it's pretty cool."

Day

[April is down at the beach, and seems to be very focused on the sand castle she is making... or is trying to make, since it keeps collapsing. But she just sighs sadly before trying again. She's not gonna give up on trying to make this sand castle.]

Night

[April has found a nice spot somewhere on the beach to watch the fireworks, and is now just staring up at them from her seat. She's never really seen something like this before, so she can't help but stare at them.]

"Oh? How'd you get around it?" She's curious, naturally. It's hard to find a topic she isn't interested in.

"The easy way. Invested in a wheelchair." Shrug. "Although getting up Caliban is another thing..."

[ The text was ominous and under better circumstances, Saber would have ignored it. The beach wasn't a good place for her; she's washed up from her death here and being unable to swim only makes her more anxious. Eventually, she'll show up to curl up alongside a bonfire on her own, watching everyone else from a distance. ]

[Oh hey, someone he knows. Of course, he can't help but smile at the expression on her face.]

Hello April.

Ah, hi, Gaignun! [She grins over at him, before glancing up at the fireworks again.]

... They're really pretty.

They are. I love fireworks, well, actually light shows in all their forms. I hadn't realized how much I missed them until I saw these.

"That's what I was wondering about. So Caliban is a no go for you still?" She's got a sympathetic look.

[Saori had closed the tea house early and was out with Sirius on the beach. The dog picked up a new scent and went ahead to where Saber was. He barks to get her attention, tail wagging. Soon enough his master caught up with him.]

Sirius? Where are--Oh, Arturia! Sorry, I hope he wasn't bugging you.

"I'm workin' on it." Sigh. "You'd think they'd install an elevator."

Arturia?

[Diarmuid approached the girl near the bonfire and gave her a hesitant smile]

Would you mind if I joined you?

And now she's giggling. "I don't think it would be very helpful even if they did, unfortunately."

"Oh, right. No tech. The entire root cause of this mess."

"It is troublesome, isn't it? Although I wonder... There isn't any way we could power an elevator, but do you know if anyone has tried a small charger? One that relies on manual cranking or something similar."

"I think the phones are the only things that do work."

Not terribly so. [ It was a tease as she pats the towel underneath her. ] If you enjoy getting sand in your pants, then you are welcomed to sit with me.

Oh no, he was no bother at all. [ ~~Apparently Saber is really good at collecting loyal hounds.~~ ] I did not realize you had a pet yourself.

A small price to pay for the honor of your company. [With that, he took a seat beside her.]

So you received the text as well? [ She'll keep a respectable distance from him since they're out in public, the girl looking up towards the sky. ] I do not understand why they asked for me to come here.
