[A broadcast started, and a Caucasian blonde girl was staring at the screen in mild surprise. She looked at one of her hands, then frowned.] I see. [She looked back at the screen, her voice prim and proper]

If one is near him, I'm searching for a man named Kincaid. He will have dark blond hair, grey-blue eyes, and a rather sleek build a bit like a hunting dog. If he is available, put him on the phone now. [She waited, then exhaled audibly. While she hid it well, it was obvious this little thirteen year old was afraid of what that meant] If he is not available, then I'm looking also for a man named Harry Dresden. He will be tall, in a leather duster, long shaggy hair, and carry a rather large staff or rod with him. He will not be able to use this type of phone, but perhaps a normal conversation over a landline should work. Just... [The terrible knowledge in her eyes was briefly eclipsed by a deep longing for family or friends] Tell him that Ivy's looking for him.

In the meantime, a school is within seeing distance of my location. Are they accepting new students?

[Before answering, she stared at the screen. A brief panicked look appeared in her face. Just by looking at him, she should know who this was. Name. Date of birth. Place of birth. Human or not. What he's done. Even fully realizing the gender, instead of having to guess. She should just know]

[And she didn't. She reached for the perfect knowledge she always had, and found nothing except what she already knew]

*Bark bark! The space dog bumps her helmet up against the phone a few more times before a teenager with a bindi and flowy clothes not out of place in the sixties picks her up.*

Io, are you playing with the phone? *laughs* Oh, hey, someone's on it? What's up, dudette?

Oh, your dog's name is Io? Hm. The innermost of the four Galilean moons of the planet Jupiter and the fourth largest moon in our solar system. Or perhaps the priestess of Hera that Zeus seduced and turned into a cow to hide her from his wife's jealous eyes.

She's definitely one of my moons, all right! I have sixty-five others back home. I just can't stop taking in strays when they're in need of help, y'know?

One of your...? [Why can't she just reach for the Archive inside of her and just know who she was talking to? It wouldn't be completely unfeasible for this person to be from the Nevernever and have an affinity for the planet. Or perhaps be tied into the story of Io in some way. But somehow- somehow she was cut off from what she was.]

[A fae of the Nevernever, then. That was the most reasonable explanation.]

[For a faerie, she was quite likable. Something about labeling her a faerie didn't feel right, though] Yes. I just arrived today.

Whoa, same here. Serendipity. Someone said a goddess might've picked us up and dropped us off here, but why'd she want to do that?

[Gods. Not good. As the Archive, she may be on par with even the Faerie Queens, but that didn't mean she wanted to go up against them. Especially with her sudden inability to access the Archive's knowledge]

... when beings of untold power kidnap you, nothing good happens.

Harsh truth. Always something we can do, though, 's what I'm thinking. Whenever you're feeling out of tune with the universe, just keep on rolling and get back in the groove.

*Io barks.*

[Who is this? Jupiter's attitude didn't make sense to her at all.]

[But when Io barked, Ivy smiled] You're a very interesting being, Jupiter.

*This is a hippie from space, that's who.*

[Her face instantly closed at that. Her title as the Archive was enough. But if the wrong people knew the Archive had lost it's abilities... certain Blackened Denarians would be more than happy to hear that and steal her.]

[But Ivy... only Dresden called her that. Even Kincaid didn't use that name.]

... I am the Archive.

[It was the only name she could give.]

Nice to meet you. *smile* I'm gonna remember that, okay? Nice meeting you. This place isn't so bad so far. Not home, but not bad. Miss my rocket skates, though.
