I've gotten a wide range of suggestions but most of it boils down to asking what they want or getting something made just for them.

It would be a problem if it was the wrong size. What day would you like to go then? Any time in the morning or mid afternoon works.

How does the sixteenth fare for you? Good? Bad? Perhaps the twenty-third if that will not do.

The twenty-third sounds fine, most places would be closed the next two days due to the holiday so going before seems like a good plan to me.
