...Ready or not, here comes Alice!

[Have an eyeful of shaky, blurry scenery. It seems the video feed of the phone has accidentally been turned on, and the person holding it is running around without realizing she did it.

The little girl stops and examines the spots behind dumpsters and benches, as if she's looking for something. She seems to be...playing a game? After a few moments of this fruitless search, she comes to a full stop.]

Where is Alice? Alice didn't think Alice would be too far away...Alice thought Alice was just hiding. [Her voice becomes sad and a bit tearful.] Alice has to be around this place. Alice wouldn't leave Alice all alone. Nuh uh! No way! [But she quickly becomes determined again, after a small sniffle. She takes a look at her surroundings.]

...Where is this, anyways? Alice hasn't been here before.

Did Alice go through the looking glass?

[ it's.. a little girl? they even kidnap people like that to this place..? ]

I do not think any sort of.. 'looking glass' was involved. [ whatever that might be, David has no clue. ] This city is called Prospero.

Pros...pero? That doesn't sound like the world beyond the looking glass to Alice. It should have a fun name.

[She seems a bit disappointed at this.]

You do not like this name?

[ there might be a hint of curiosity in his voice, but his expression is still very much lineface. ]

Nuh uh. Alice likes fun names. Like bandersnatch and jabberwocky.

Those are.. quite odd names. [ but he won't judge. ] But it is good to have something to be fond of, even if it is just certain types of names.

Yep. Alice really likes those things.

Perhaps you will come to like the name of this place too over time. It is a rather unique name, after all.

Hmm...dunno about that, mister. Alice's just gotta wait and see.

It is true that it would probably take at least some time to get used to, yes.

Are you used to it yet?

I suppose you could say I merely adapt easily.. As long as you keep a cool head and calmly analyze the situation, you are able to adapt to anything at all.

Maybe she is in this place too, but merely got lost. [ although that raises the question of who the other Alice is.. twins? ]

You should try to look for her for a bit.

Yeah. That's what Alice is doing. But Alice is real good at hiding...

[ there's a pause, but.. well, he can't let a kid wander around alone. :| ]

Do you maybe need some help?

Alice would like that.

If you want, I could come over to help.. I would have to know where you are, though. What can you see around you right now?

[Alice looks around.]

Just lotsa tall buildings.

[Alice moves the camera towards some. Seems like she's in the business district. The hotel can vaguely be seen in the distance.]

[ See, that helps, since he does spot the hotel and.. well, that's where he's staying. So there's a short nod. ]

I will come and find you, I have an idea of where you are right now. Please do not wander off too far.

Sure thing, mister. Don't keep Alice waiting too long, okay?

I won't.

[ And that's a promise, considering he immediately leaves his room at the hotel after that to search around the district, trying to find her in the direction he saw on the video.. and after a little while he does notice the girl wandering around, jogging the last distance up to her with a polite nod. ]

There you are, mister!

[Alice gives a wave.]

Are you gonna help Alice find Alice now?

Good day, young lady. [ calling her Alice feels too personal just yet.. ]
