tvk | one [accidental video]

[it's early evening when leanne finds herself in prospero, and instead of her handgun, she now has a cellphone. a device she has no idea how to use or what it even is. see, they don't have this type of technology in basel. so after hitting quite a few buttons on the little device, her face can be seen in deep concentration as she accidentally begins broadcasting a video. she whines now.] It says 'Video' but nothing's happening~

[the video shakes and pans out to show the sky as she continues talking to herself.] Oh-! I can take pictures!? I'm going to take all sorts of pictures for Zephyr- oops! [the video swirls around before falling still against the ground, leanne can be seen on the video partially hidden behind grass until she picks the phone up again.]

I hope I didn't break it... [she plays with the phone some more, her face only partially shown with the sky as a backdrop.] Wow, this thing has everything! I wonder what 'Email' is? And 'Voicemail' for that matter... I can send my voice in a letter? Wait- what's this?

[the camera moves and shows her entire face as she squints at it now. her eyes widen a bit after a moment.] Oh! Can other people see this?! [she smiles and waves with her free hand.] Hi whoever is watching! Zephyr and Vashyron, if you're seeing this- don't worry, I'm okay!

Greetings, Mamzel. [ He booms to her, in a deep voice. ]

[whoa that voice. but she smiles at the screen and waves again.] Hello! How are you?

I endure. How do you do?

[ Garviel doesn't smile back, but he acknowledges the wave with a grave nod. ]

I'm doing well enough considering. Ending up here so suddenly isn't what I expected.

I think that is the case for most of us, in fact. So, are you from Terra or another place, like myself?

My name is Garviel Loken, and I hail from Cthonia.

Terra? [she has no idea what that is.] No, I live on Basel in Ebel City. It's nice to meet you, Garviel. My name's Leanne. But I've never heard of that place before...

Interesting.

And that is not surprising, few people have heard of Cthonia unless they are born there, it is a dying planet of abandoned hives and long-cold mines.

Planet? You mean you're not even from this world?

[well, she's assuming this is still the same planet she's from. even after talking to a couple of other people. it even looks the same for the most part. she just thinks basel is elsewhere. but his surprise makes her a bit unsure.]

But Basel is just a huge tower, not an entire world.

Oh! I see. And what is the name of your world then?

I.... see. And what year was it on Earth? You are still on Terra, by the way, in the city of Prospero. That doesn't sound familiar to you, does it?
