tvk | one [accidental video]

[it's early evening when leanne finds herself in prospero, and instead of her handgun, she now has a cellphone. a device she has no idea how to use or what it even is. see, they don't have this type of technology in basel. so after hitting quite a few buttons on the little device, her face can be seen in deep concentration as she accidentally begins broadcasting a video. she whines now.] It says 'Video' but nothing's happening~

[the video shakes and pans out to show the sky as she continues talking to herself.] Oh-! I can take pictures!? I'm going to take all sorts of pictures for Zephyr- oops! [the video swirls around before falling still against the ground, leanne can be seen on the video partially hidden behind grass until she picks the phone up again.]

I hope I didn't break it... [she plays with the phone some more, her face only partially shown with the sky as a backdrop.] Wow, this thing has everything! I wonder what 'Email' is? And 'Voicemail' for that matter... I can send my voice in a letter? Wait- what's this?

[the camera moves and shows her entire face as she squints at it now. her eyes widen a bit after a moment.] Oh! Can other people see this?! [she smiles and waves with her free hand.] Hi whoever is watching! Zephyr and Vashyron, if you're seeing this- don't worry, I'm okay!

...Somewhere to stay? Do you know anywhere? [and then a thought occurs to her. perhaps she can learn who this mysterious boy on the other end of the line is.] I'm Leanne, by the way.

[ he slumps in his chair and ducks his chin into his collar. he's doesn't think himself as a pessimist at all, though he's heard it plenty of times. ] I'm just realistic.

[ oh, shoot, now he has to actually help her out. he shouldn't have said anything. and wonderful, introductions! let's just...ignore that. there's a small sigh before he replies again. ] Uuuh- where are you now?

[boo. don't ignore her! but she looks around for a moment.] Um-! Looks like some kind of park?

[ it's not worth the efforttt. and oh, he thinks he knows where the park is. at least, on a map. ] Bayview's the closest. It's a hotel. Keep going, uh- [ dammit he doesn't want to check that map. ] - north. Maybe.

Maybe? You don't know for sure?

Wave your phone around so I can see where you are exactly. [ still not wanting to get that map. ]

Wave my phone? [she does so for a few short moments. what is she even doing. how is this supposed to help?] Like that?

[ well she sucks at it, but at least he saw something of a landmark to go by. ] 'Kay, you can stop. See that lamppost you're closest too? Use that path and you'll find the hotel.

[and she stops, looking around to find the lamppost he's talking about before nodding.] Okay. Thanks! [and she'll try one more time, being much more forward this time.] What was your name again?

Mmn. [ he's about to turn off the feed before she speaks up again. ] I didn't- [ oh come on. there's a sigh before he pipes up. ] Basil.

[yay!] Hey, like where I'm from! Well, it was nice speaking with you, Basil. I hope I can meet you in person someday.

[ yeah he knew that was coming. ] Yeah, sure. [ he briefly wonders if he should warn her about the night again. ...nah, too much trouble. he's said his part already, it's her fault if she didn't listen properly. ]

[of course it was! he has the same name as a tower she's spent all her life living in/on. and thanks, basil. if she dies, it'll be your fault.] Okay. Thanks again, Basil. See you soon!

[ sigh. he doesn't see the big deal. and what no, he takes no responsibility for her actions! in response, he just sorta 'mmns' again, too tired for anything more. time for a nap, he thinks, and so he cuts the feed after that. ]
