IT'S NEW YEARS LETS EAT SOME SOUP [Action]
[Hotel Kitchen]
[A large and fairly new pot is on the stove, merrily boiling away some soba noodles for the new year. Miki is determinedly chopping away at some vegetables. There is a large stack of bowls piled up to the side waiting to be filled.]
[Your door.]
[In order to celebrate the new year, Miki has decided to make some Soba for everyone. For most you will open the door to find a smiling miki holding a covered bowl of basic noodles in dashi stock with some chopped onions and leafy vegetables. For others (Saori, Choo Choo Train, Devola, April) it's a somewhat more complicated affair with fish and eggs and any topping she could get her hands on, all in a much fancier and more durable looking bowl with dragonflys on it. Finally, for a select few, it will be a quick lesson on why doctors consider noodle soups to be incredibly dangerous.

[Taking the bowl. It's not poison, is it?]

Just because we're in America doesn't mean we can't eat like we are home!

[She'd hug Miki but hot bowl alert. Her mouth might be watering slightly at the sight.]

It's the least I could do! I even got you a fancy bowl to keep!

Ah, thank you, miss...?

[Any excuse for soba...!]
Guess I should ask if you have a second bowl for the sprout. Roommate. Whatever you call him.
