Before I arrived here, I had made the decision to stay in a place that would mean the end of my life. It had been my choice, and a choice I would make again. That was in 1986, but here, with the New Year, it's 2012. It sounds strange, but I don't remember any of it... I feel as if I should, but I don't.

And I had a sister... she would be 42 now. I don't regret my decision, but does being here mean I was wrong? Did I leave her behind for nothing? I don't know what to make of this island what happens once midnight comes, but I know I want to return there.

Someone told me that there are people here from different worlds. How true is that for you? How many of you were alive before you came here? What do you remember? Have you tried to see your families again? Even though I've heard that some have had no luck in finding them.

As much as I would like to see how my sister has grown, I don't know if it would be right to. She's had a long life without me, maybe one with even a family of her own... I can only hope that she's okay right now and nothing has happened to her.

[ Yellow eyes...? ]

Have you ever heard of any similar cases to that?

My own investigation suggests that despite close similarities to where I'm from, this is most likely a matter of my being transported across more than just time. Phone numbers that I recall from this time period don't lead to the proper people, nor can I uncover records of their existence. Furthermore, a production studio whose works I have a fondness for doesn't exist despite the fact that it should have been founded well before now. Finally, many of our fellow kidnappees earnestly believe the most outlandish things to be true despite otherwise coming across as entirely sane; while not conclusive on its own, when paired with the evidence it raises questions.

Precisely -- it is we who are missing.

It appears that we are indeed alone in being privy to the Dark Hour's existence, save of course whomever or whatever might be responsible for this mass kidnapping. The coffins that one can see during the Dark Hour are either the natives preserved or transformed; as we're unable to open them, we cannot easily determine which with certainty.

Because of this fact, to attempt to discuss Personas, Shadows, and the Dark Hour with those native to this world is counterproductive in most cases. One of the few exceptions is the proprietor of Felix's Finds; while he doesn't understand the situation, neither does he believe that we aren't in need.

A store filled with antiquities, which notably from our perspective includes various old-fashioned weapons. For those of us who are uncomfortable with guns yet still wish to be able to defend ourselves or others during the Dark Hour, it's an important resource.

Be aware, however, that I will not stand for abuse of his wares.

I've been here for nearly a month and a half, and have found myself appalled at how haphazard and often incomplete the distribution of facts has been. I'm only fulfilling my duty as a fellow kidnappee.

Simplification doesn't excuse the fact that I had to learn of Felix's Finds through my own investigation -- nor the fact that my investigation was prompted by the poor results of an assault by several ill-equipped children on a building infested with strong Shadows.

The basics of this place must be seen to be believed, but I do agree that a reference guide would be the ideal solution past that point.

Newcomers can arrive anywhere on the island. However, it is common to be directed to the hotel in one's earliest conversations with fellow kidnappees.

The hotel would be a good place to have any information compiled then if it's possible to do. If what people know about this place isn't getting shared out as much, we could be missing out on important details. Or anything useful.

I agree to an extent. However, the hotel's ownership is not only unknown, but is going to some trouble to avoid being found; ergo, I cannot completely trust their motives. It is clear that they wish for us to make ourselves at home here, but to what end? Without knowing this fact, we cannot be certain of whether or not a notice will remain untouched there.

I've tried contacting relatives. It doesn't work. Sorry.

Time can be tricky like that. I'm afraid contact with our loved ones is impossible. From what I can tell and also based on several people's observations, we're in a separate world altogether.

In my case, I technically died in my home world upon coming here. My family is all but gone in my home world, having died before then. I would've said this could be considered as a kind of afterlife but seeing how many people say they were alive before coming here, I'm sure that's not the case. This place seems to pick up people whenever it deems it fit to.
