Feelings of familial devotion for people he's met like once. What are their names, even? There's that one guy who looks like he's never been out in the sun ever who he's currently assuming is his brother or something, he's got feelings of fatherly devotion for that one kid who made an ass of himself over magic and that other kid who... was not actually that bad, given that he gave him helpful information and didn't try to punch him in the face.

And he still feels like he's forgetting someone. Or maybe two someones. Man. What the hell kind of aristocrat can't remember his own family members' names? Get with the program, Kayneth.

Well, anyway, what... do you do with these feelings... quality family time, right? Or do you just completely ignore them until they do something praiseworthy.

I've mostly been reading. While I've noticed some marked differences, this world is quite similar to my own, albeit about twenty years into the future. I've been attempting to get up to speed on what I'd be unfamiliar with.

Most of the captives appear to be from some variation of the Land of Greenery. This world, too, is one. There's probably some reason.

"Land of Greenery...?" Anyway, there are infinite worlds parallel to this one, so I assume that has something to do with it.
