The next full moon is on the twenty-second.

On the other hand, there is also a fondness for tying events into holidays here. And Valentine's Day is coming up. ...I'm getting my chocolate out early.

[The following people are getting obligation chocolate - that is to say, chocolate Issei bought at varying degrees of niceness. None of it's bad chocolate, though.

Diarmuid, Saber, Hakuno, Waver, Kiritsugu, Assassin, Lancer, Extra Assassin, Neah, Allen, Tatsuma, Ingrid, John, Edgeworth, Atsuro and Devola will find Issei at their doorstep with a wrapped box of chocolate for each of them.

Shirou and Vriska, on the other hand, are getting A Lot of chocolate, including some Issei made himself. Issei will also show up at their doorsteps with wrapped boxes.]

No, I really appreciate it. Actually, I think this is the first time I've ever gotten chocolates for Valentine's day....

For Halloween we had zombies. During Christmas we had that disturbing message... I'd like to celebrate my holidays with a minimum of interference.

...This was your first full moon battle? They've been doing this for months. The worst of it was fighting Shadow versions of ourselves, but they've done quite a bit.

I only just got here in December....

Is there supposed to be a boss fight like that every full moon? There wasn't one last month.

Apart from that and one other instance, there's been one every full moon.

So, you already mentioned shadows and zombies. What other kinda stuff has happened?

Well, I think one instance made us refuse to leave our rooms... I think a townsperson died during that and wasn't found until later because of it.

They locked everyone up? What about windows? Or the network? You could at least make calls.

No, not that. It was like this instance - they affected our minds to make us not want to leave.

And you think they'll do something to mess with us next month too?

I'm almost sure of it.

Why do you think stuff like this happens, anyway? Are the shadows doing it to make it harder to fight them?

It could be. I'm really not clear on that part.

Well, if that is what they're doing, it didn't really work. Maybe the whole thing with the weird family vibes was just supposed to be a distraction...

We'll have to keep considering it.

I guess if we can get strong enough to get more than a few levels into the dungeon, we'll probably learn something.
