I'm not surprised to hear that the hotel owner is involved in this, though. I'd thought it was pretty suspicious that he let us all stay there indefinitely for free. Do you have any leads about whose side he's on?

Given how impossible he is for us to contact no matter how we try, and that message... I doubt he's completely on our side.

I wonder what his motivation is for letting us live there...if they were trying to keep us all in one place, you'd think they would make it harder to leave, but as far as I can tell, we can move out any time we don't need the charity anymore. Unless they're counting on us being at enough of a disadvantage from being displaced to keep us from getting to that point...

And from the sound of that voice, they're trying to test us, not ruin us...but what for? If they have control over the events, then they must have some control over the Shadows, too...unless they're not controlling the events, just predicting them and taking advantage of them to see what we're capable of.

I'm sure the natives would take it more or less in stride. And it'll probably be harmless to them...I'd keep an eye out during Dark Hour to see how the Shadows react, though. And if this draws in any religious whack jobs, we'll have to be more careful where we discuss things about our situation. The last thing we need is the attention of a bunch of wackos that think we're demons or part of some prophesy or something like that.
