Trey Matre. The mysterious owner of this hotel who can barely be identified after so long searching for them.

Tre Matres - the three mothers, the triple goddess. In all of history three goddesses are a recurring pattern. Whether it's three separate goddesses in a constant group - the Morai, the Norns, the Matronae - or the single goddess in three aspects - the Mother-Maiden-Crone, Hecate's three sides, the three names of the Morrigan, Qudshu-Astarte-Anat - the triple goddess is a constant part of religious history.

The Church of Three.

These are all a part of one another. All of these are related and we are making progress. We are understanding more about our situation, we are gaining the means to do something about it!

I would be exceedingly wary of the religion known as the Church of Three.

[He reaches over and clicks the phone off.]

Given that my major talent is studying, this might be why I was brought here, as well.

Unfortunately, in light of our current understanding of the circumstances of our kidnapping, it's entirely possible that we're expected to use these skills in service of this dubious "Church of Three".

I don't trust it. I'll look into it more closely, and if it arrives here in a more obvious way...

Another aspect of our situation that I wish to investigate is the history of Prospero itself. What little I know of it seems rather strange.

That sounds like a good idea. With the Dark Hour localized to Prospero, the city is worth consideration.

Is it? I'd heard that Gilgamesh had left the island once, but the only encounter he and I have had was highly negative. I'd heard of no one else who could confirm its presence or absence beyond the island.

I can try to check with him - we've spoken a few times, on neutral terms.
