[ It doesn't matter where you are in the city. Just as long as you're not only inside today, you might find yourself meeting a new person rather abruptly. Or rather, by them bumping into you.

If you're standing somewhere on the streets or the sidewalks or maybe even inside some shops, you might notice a blonde-haired girl in the distance running towards you.. except she doesn't seem to notice you in return, so she ends up running right into you at full speed, with enough force that knocks her back to land on the ground on her butt with a slight whine.

I... uh. Yeah. There's some things you should know about this place, and it's gonna sound fucking insane, so just... bear with me here.

But at midnight, everything... uh. Changes, and these monsters called Shadows show up.

[ She frowns a little when he starts explaining, but hey, at least she's open to pretty much believing everything about this now. ]

Monsters? So they're.. hurting people around midnight?

If you're caught outside they'll try to fucking kill you, yeah. Most of the people around town turn into coffins when this happens, but those of us who've been dumped here don't.

I guess the deal is we're supposed to fight them.

[ It's a lot to take in, but.. well, it's not like she hasn't fought monsters before back home, and.. if she has to fight, then she will. ]

Hmm, I get it. So the normal people here can't fight them, but only the ones who were brought here like us, huh?

Yeah. We get this... thing called a Persona. I'm pretty new here myself, so I don't really get it, but that's how we fight 'em.
