Many things. The usual married stuff with the husband, I call my daughter every other day and we talk about the how the pregnancy's going -she's was due soon, you know-, and we visit my eldest boy ever summer over in Ireland. One of my granddaughters lives with me, so I take her back and forth to school, take her shopping, make her do her homework, and well, everything involved with raising a child. I have another son, whom we see around holidays. I'm helping plan he wedding, or I was back home.
I chat with my colleges in the break room, tease the math professor every time that new nurse walks in the room. His face is always priceless, the boy's a bit too much of a prude. Why this one time I tried to set him....[She stops herself.] Sorry dear, I get carried away.
Even if I can't, I take comfort in that I had a long time with them. I'm getting on in years, you know. I had longer with them than many have had with their families.
Depends on the country they live in, what medical help they have access too,and many other factors. For where I'm from, usually around 70 odd years. Closer to 80 I believe.
Some older folks would have difficulty fighting those creatures. If that's our purpose, then it does make some sense to keep the general age of the kidnap victims young.
Now if they'd only use the same logic to apply to the youngest of us. I can't fathom how they children to fight them. They have no place in this battle.
Not yet. But I do worry about them being here. We had some of our own kidnapped right out from under us once before. How long until they hit us where we are most vulnerable?
