[Two; Video and Action]

[A: Video]
[Ryuunosuke looks pretty much all right as he waves at the camera.]

So things went back to normal after we killed that weird Shadow, huh? Everyone's back on the streets like nothing happened and the city didn't practically shut down. That's kind of weird. Do you think they're used to this?

Huh, it makes you wonder - how long has this been going on? Way before we came here...

[B: Action]
[Back-End Bar has more customers than normal tonight, probably because of the disruption to the regular drinking schedule. People can be heard chatting aimlessly, but it's not near enough to drown out Ryuunosuke's whistling as he pours drinks.]

[He lights up a little upon seeing a familiar face, either from the devices or from taking down that Shadow.]
What can I get you?

[...oh goddammit. Could he go anywhere without running into someone he didn't want to run into?]

Surprise me. [Hopefully without poison. The addition wouldn't have surprised Lancer whatsoever.]

I appreciate it.

[Did Ryuunosuke have a reason to poison him? Would he honestly need one? Lancer calmly adjusted the glasses he was still wearing, taking a drink...hm. Seemed alright so far, but if he dropped dead at least Lancer would know why.]

Well enough, I suppose. And yourself?

I noticed. [He seemed awfully...cheerful, now that Lancer gave it some thought. This almost didn't seem like the type of person he would associate with Caster.]

I'd assume we all have the same problem.

...Is this anything like your job wherever you come from?

Is that right? I suppose I could say more or less the same thing myself.

[Damndamndamndamndamn-]

...Bartender. [For such an honest person, Lancer realized he was pretty good at lying with a straight face.]
croibhristeoir: (pull yourself together have a little fun)

Is that right? I never had very high standards for this kind of thing.

[If it was alcoholic, the ancient Irish would be all over that.]

I suppose things must simply be different in my country.
croibhristeoir: (but it was not your fault but mine)

[personal profile] croibhristeoir 2011-08-02 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[He adjusted his glasses again, still getting used to them rather than trying to hide his face.]

Ireland. [That wouldn't give much away, he was sure. It wasn't as if he was the only one in the country.]
croibhristeoir: (don't need money with a face like that)

It is a little strange to hear them talk about places I've never heard of. But given that this place itself isn't all that normal, maybe it shouldn't be too surprising.

As one would expect, I assume. [That job at the bookstore was already proving to have been a good idea. he might not have known enough about the country as it was now to speak convincingly otherwise.]

I suppose it's not entirely unlike this place, as far as cities go. [Which was still strange to think--even with the knowledge the Holy Grail gave him, realizing how much time had really passed was almost unsettling.]
