Video; Late morning

[Having arrived here yesterday, April had spent most of the day investigating her new surroundings... and then she experienced the Dark Hour. To say April was freaked out would be a big understatement, and so after getting a few hours of sleep after avoiding getting mauled, a frazzled and rather scruffy looking redhead will be sending out a video.]

Okay, so, um... can somebody tell me what the hell is going on? All I know so far is that I'm in a city called Prospero in the US, my powers are gone and I got jumped by some freaky shadow-demon things last night! And I saw a building change shape! I've seen some weird stuff, but this just tops everything!

[Then she realizes that she's ranting and her expression turns sheepish, glancing away for a moment as she rubs the back of her neck.] … Ah, a-and is there anywhere I can get a gun or something?

I see... well, that's good, at least. [Hey, she's trying to stay optimistic.] But, um, besides what I've already learned, is there anything else you can tell me about this place or what's going on?

Unfortunately, I'm afraid there's very little we know so far. That building seems to be where those creatures originate from, and the city only changes for an hour each night at precisely midnight.

Yeah, when I woke up here my powers were gone! I can usually generate electricity and control electronics, but I can't do either of those anymore. It feels weird not having them anymore...

How typical. I see no point to the damned things. They are in need of constant reloading and may jam up at any time. Not very reliable when you could be attacked while trying to fix it. Not to mention they take no real skill to use, unlike much superior blades of steel.

...Though I do suppose a weapon like that would suit women and children.

True, they can be unreliable and a pain to load in the middle of a fight, but if you're quick enough with them and take good care of them, then it's no problem. And guns are easy to use, hell, anybody can pick up a gun and pull the trigger, but anything thing beyond that does take skill and practice, despite what you may think.

Plus, I'm more of a long-ranged fighter so I prefer guns over anything else, but I don't mind using blades too.
