[Jin had no clue what was going on as he wandered around. A million questions raced through his mind. Where was he? Where did Jubei go? What happened to Yukianesa? Why couldn't he feel the presence of any seithr? Why was he at sea level?

Those last two weighed most heavily on Jin's mind. The level of seithr at sea level made it inhospitable for anything save maybe the Kaka clan, let alone humans. In fact, Jin had never even seen the sea before except through the windows of airships. So for the seithr to suddenly have all disappeared...

Much as he was loathe to do it, Jin approached a random passerby. It may even be you.]

Yep. Dunno much about 'em other than they come out around midnight, attack anything that's not-them, and all look like they've got some kind of mask somewhere on them.
