Alright! As of today, I'm a defense attorney again! Whew, that took awhile.

[He takes a moment to pin it into place.]

There we go. Anyway, I was thinking. A little casual get-together might be pretty fun in the next couple weeks. I know a lot of us are working hard, but everybody needs a break sometime. Maybe we could do something like pool or bowling or something. Any ideas?

Well, Issei already said they're planning a big party for something else. So I might be looking at a small group for a quiet activity-- pool, maybe.

He's among the more tolerable people here, so his company is acceptable. As for pool, while I haven't played it in quite some time, I'm familiar with the basics.

I imagine a lot of people here either don't know how to play or haven't in awhile... so it'd be a good icebreaker, too.

[That expression on Phoenix's face confuses and troubles Edgeworth, but as is often the case in emotional situations, he's at a loss for words.]

Well... there's that. It's always been that someone I knew was just a phone call away. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've found that company has found me despite myself in this place -- and for once, it's primarily the tolerable sort. I'm rather surprised that it hasn't been the same way for you.

There is Pess, my dog. Now that I consider it, I don't suppose I've had reason to mention her to you before.

I don't think you have. Kind of interesting, I always thought you were more of a cat person.

In a sense, she was the one to adopt me.
