Alright! As of today, I'm a defense attorney again! Whew, that took awhile.

There we go. Anyway, I was thinking. A little casual get-together might be pretty fun in the next couple weeks. I know a lot of us are working hard, but everybody needs a break sometime. Maybe we could do something like pool or bowling or something. Any ideas?

Well, you have a table lined in felt, and a group of numbered balls, and one blank ball. The players each have a stick that they use to push the blank ball around to knock the numbered balls into holes at the sides of the table called "pockets". Whoever successfully puts the most balls into their pockets wins.

It's a pretty simple game in theory. It just takes practice to get the blank ball where you want it to go.

Great! There are variations that make it more complex, but we're just doing it to have fun. So simpler is better.

It is! It's fun, and simple enough that conversation is easy. It's not noisy like bowling would be, and doesn't require concentration like a board game might. You know?
