I need help making an important decision here. See, at home I move around a lot, and so my options for some things were kind of limited. But since I'm pretty much stuck here, I started wondering.

Can I get a kitten now?

I like cats. I've never had a cat because they don't like travel much, but I've always wanted one, and I'm sure there's a pet store in this city somewhere. But, I don't know if I can afford one with a bartender's salary, and I really don't want it wandering around at midnight, you know? That seems like it would be a bad idea.

...Yeah, so I thought I'd ask everyone else what they thought.

[Patiently explaining to the knight who doesn't understand pet cats.] Yeah, lions are cats. You wouldn't be able to find a baby lion in a pet store because they're really hard to tame and it might be illegal to capture them, but there are lots of kinds of cats that people keep as pets.

If you've got a lot of money and you want to break the law, and risk being hurt by it when it grows up into a really big lion, you probably could. 'Impossible' is a stupid word.

It's an animal. The kind of cats that they sell as pets get attached to their owners, but wild cats don't have those instincts and could turn on you.

Like I said, I've never had a cat. I know the kinds of stuff anybody from 1990 would know, but I'm not even really sure how much money a kitten would cost to buy and take care of.
