All of it, but for one, why is reproduction so important? All it does is create more people who will live their lives out and eventually die.

*Kaoru opens the door with a blank look. The room is pretty bare, save for the stack of textbooks on the bed. The sex ed textbook is still open.*

[ So very Spartan. Interesting kid. Saber walks in and gets right to it. ]

Sex, penises entering vaginas. Well, most of the time. Can't you think of one reason why we would like to perpetuate our existence on Earth?

No. That's something I don't understand. You think it's good to be born and live out your life. To experience everything in life. To do things that might be pointless, or to devote yourself to changing something important to you. But when it comes down to it, you eventually die. In this place, you die over and over and over again. So why?

Life is beautiful. It's a miracle, and it usually happens only once for each, if we disregard some religions. Do not let the rules of this place convince you otherwise. Death is only the ever present knowledge we are still alive, it's not a something, but the absence of everything, quite literally.

And when it comes, it's not about the things you couldn't do, or the legacies that will be soon forgotten, but about the things that are to remain forever in the hearts of people. It might sound exaggerated, but we all change the world, and we do it forever.

[ Saber moves her hand to her shoulder. ]

All you have to do is give it a chance.

*Stare.* You're doing that touching thing. *It's bad enough when Vriska does it, and Kaoru knows her. B|*

[ And now she's going to pinch a cheek before removing her hand. ]

Life... is important even if it ends? And death, to you, is important because the end of life proves that you lived?

[ She turns around, arms extended. Theatrics are a go. ]

The reason of life is to ponder why are we here, and find and answer. The reason of death is to make our time alive seem more meaningful.

But yes, you have the basic idea. It's not the same for everyone, not exactly, but such is the reason why we all have to struggle for answers. It's not having a good one, but at least knowing what you're looking for.

Maybe in the end we look for questions! Life is an adventure! You don't need to finally master it, because it ends. And because it ends, we must focus on living, not only thinking about living.

...I might be getting a bit carried away.

...Probably. But life is important to you.

[lyres]

And it should be to you too. Without life we have nothing.

[breatheinthefog]

There will be nothing in the end, and the end will come faster and faster.

Do not be so sure, child. Giving up before staring is the easiest way out, and that is not allowed.

Who knows? I won't sell you false hopes. I can only tell you that as long as people live, things are not set in stone, ever. We do change the world, you know?
