[013: Action]

[Really, it was just an average patrol during the Dark Hour. Nothing strange or unusual about it and April was just about to continue patrolling after having finished a fight with some Shaodws... until she caught what looked like pale green glowing eyes in the reflection on a nearby window. That wasn't normal.

So, April responded in her typical manner; by jumping away and freaking out a bit.]

What the hell-?! [Wait.

Waaaaait that's... her? A closer examination of the reflection shows that, yep, the glowing eyes are her own staring right back at her. The glow soon fades and her eyes are back to her usual color, but that hadn't happened here before. Her eyes glowing were normal back home when she was using her powers though...]

What the... how did...?

[Of course, the loud yell she made and her not paying attention quickly lead to her being surrounded by Shadows. Cue a sigh as Iris appears behind her, her eyes taking on that glow again. She's strong enough to fight them off, but fighting them on her own won't be that easy.]

[There's silence from her for a few moments, before she replies.] My friends and my allies back home make me happy, but my world itself doesn't. Even though good things have happened there, they don't make the horrible things that happened any better.

I see. Is anything changing?

[technologic]

[Now she gives him a faint smile.] Y-yeah, I think so. I'm, uh, actually part of a group that's working to rebuild my home, and we have managed to make some progress. It's slow, but we're getting there.

[gaveupfeeling]

Excellent. I have faith in you.

[technologic]

[A blink in surprise, and then she grins cheerfully.] Ah, thank you, Ledah, that makes me really happy to hear. Home will probably take a long time to rebuild, but I'm sure it can be done.

[gaveupfeeling]

And if it can be done, it can be done by you.

We should keep looking for Shadows.

[technologic]

... Thank you. That really means a lot to me to hear.

And I agree. But... Um, the fact that I'm a mutant doesn't bother you at all? [Since she had gotten used to people usually being bothered by it.]

[gaveupfeeling]

No more than my being an angel would bother you, I assume.

[technologic]

Which doesn't bother me at all. [She rubs the back of her neck, looking sheepish.]

... I'm just too used to people judging me cause I'm a mutant, I guess.

[gaveupfeeling]

The only thing that would bother me is if you were a demon, and that only because of my mission. Anything else doesn't matter to me at all, whether you're a mutant, alien, human or sprite.

[technologic]

[She blinks a few times in surprise, before giving a soft smile.] T-thank you, Ledah. I'm really happy to hear that.

[gaveupfeeling]

Think nothing of it.

[technologic]

[Still, she leans forward to give him a quick kiss, before pulling back and readying her rifle.]

So, should we continue to look for Shadows?

[gaveupfeeling]

That would be for the best.

[technologic]

Right, then let's go. And, um, thanks again. [It's probably strange she's thanking him this much, but it's a massive relief for April to know that her being a mutant doesn't bother him.]

Of course. [Lance in hand, he begins to pursue the Shadows again.]

[technologic]

[And April follows right behind him. The glow from her eyes when she summons her Persona seems to draw more of the Shadows attention to her, but it it looks like she can handle it.]

[gaveupfeeling]

[And if not, Ledah will kick their ass for looking at her funny.]
