[The video feed turns on and greets anyone watching with a whole lot of nothing. The little gizmo seems to have gone off unattended and is showing what looks like an ungodly mess of a hotel room. There are discarded bottles of booze everywhere and a big 'ol hammer sticking out of a pile of them. Lots of discarded, half-used laundry is on top of any furniture nearby, and if you squint you can see a window that would give a wonderful view of Prospero outside...were it not obscured by broken glass.

Nothing happens for a minute before the audio picks up a little bit of rustling, then the Kid is seen from the corner of the screen's view. For one thing, he's missing his shirt, giving a view of a fit-lookin' body for someone so short...shame the Kid's got a lot of bandaged wounds both new and old marring it. The only indicator of pain from these or a likely hangover would be the occasional twitch on his face.]

Oh...stupid thing's on, ain't it?

[Kid picks the little device up and reaches 'round for the off switch...but he stops for a second and looks right at the camera.]

Hey. If you could go anywhere in the world, where'd ya go?

[That's all he asks before stopping the recording.]

Not much. Most things. Although I still can't figure out what goes on rice.

I like sleeping in beds, too. That's something here that's nice.

[Kid starts putting two and two together.]

It doesn't really matter, but yes.

...they really do have good food here, I'll admit. Lot of good meat 'n booze. And...sweet stuff I've never seen before.

[He ain't good with asking personal questions, so he backs off. Nevermind the fact he's talking to someone as blunt as he is.]

Yeah. Those really sickly sweet treats. Never had things like those in Caelondia. Or at least, not things that close to 'em.

A lot of people haven't, it seems. If they're not from the Land of Greenery.

...aah. I wondered why this wasn't the Motherland. Still, yeah. There's a lot of things I've never seen before here, too.

Yeah. Those steel wagons scare me. The ones that zoom by on the roads.

Cars. I was surprised, too.

Yeah. Those things seem like death on wheels to me. Don't like 'em much. You?

I don't really care. They're fast. But I can walk.

[Few minutes pass and Kid is walking on down, fully dressed in his usual attire. He gives Kaoru a wave when he sees her. Though he has a flat expression like always, his tone's a bit more relaxed.]
