I've been wondering. Everyone here probably knows that Personas can attack and heal, but Mr. Edgeworth and I were talking and realized that there might be some abilities that aren't so common. So far, we know for sure that they can use physical or elemental attacks, heal, weaken a target so that it can't hit as hard and analyze an enemy.

*He pauses to take a drink of his coffee, then sets it down and brings up a holographic screen and keyboard that float next to the device in his hand.*

What I'd like to know is if there are any other abilities they can have. It would probably help people find training partners or understand what their own Persona might be able to do if the effect isn't obvious. It might even be able to solve the problem of how to deal with keeping dangerous Persona users from hurting anyone.

*His expression turns grim for a moment. There's no doubt about what he's referencing there. But he quickly shakes his head and goes back to his usual thoughtful expression.*

You don't have to give names of people with the abilities if you don't think they'd be comfortable with everyone knowing what they can do, and if you'd like to make the conversation private, I won't hold it against you. I'm not going to tell anyone someone's abilities without their permission, so don't worry about that.

*He takes another drink from the mug and then reaches over and ends the feed.*

My Persona can increase an ally's agility or remove debilitating effects on allies.

...Mine apparently makes me talk funny. I don't know, I sure as hell can't hear it.

Bishamonten can restore an ally to their senses.

[Apparently this doesn't cover charm, though. Fear/Confusion/Rage is still pretty good.]

Alice can make enemies turn back and run away, or at least cower a little.

My Persona, Setanta, can increase the durability of one of my allies.

Makes 'em run away, or screws with their spellcasting a little.

[Not going to mention his instant-kill thing because that's an elemental attack, right?]

Those sound a little like some Ethers I know of...

That's...huh? I didn't think they could actually affect their users negatively like that...

I still don't hear a difference, but everyone insists otherwise whenever I use it.

'Francis, you're not making any sense.' 'Francis, stop babbling nonsense at me!' 'Francis, I suddenly can't understand the Queen's goddamn English!' Either they're all insane or I am, kid.

That sounds pretty useful if you don't want to fight.

In terms of how much damage they can take or how hard it is to hurt them?

*Death is a status effect, Ryuunosuke. And yeah, you guessed it, typing. But he also looks interested in that last part.*

How much?

It doesn't take all the time, but when it works, it looks like it stops everything other than basic attacks until it wears off a little while later.

So, some kind of mental effect on either you or everyone within earshot?

Mine raises attack power! And some other thing too, but I don't know what it does.

I dunno. Probably. I haven't even used it enough to be sure.

That sounds like it could be pretty useful...I wonder if there's an equivalent for physical abilities...

Is there anything visible? Any kind of changes in how the Shadows act or how well they or your Persona fight?

I don't know how you'd work that. I guess you could string them up?

That's strange...I can't really think of what good something like that would even do.

Or just immobilize the Persona. I know there was an Ether that did something along those lines in my world, so it's not impossible.

Well, helping figure things like that out is part of the reason I'm putting this list together.

I don't know much about Ethers.

Unnatural fear is what I've tested it on, but I sense that there are other conditions it will remove.

I should fight more. I'm still pretty weak.

How hard it is to hurt them. Their defense, in other words.

They're from my world. They're special abilities people can learn with nanomachines to heal people or help them fight.

I probably should too. I didn't really train much at all when I first got here because I really don't like being on the battlefield.

That one sounds useful. I can't be the only person that knows a lot of people who tend to be reckless.

I get the feeling I'll need it.

Not really. We didn't have to worry about it being a specific hour to use them, but...ah...the Gnosis didn't have to worry about that to attack, either.
