[So she was gone. Or at least, Diarmuid couldn't find her. If she was dead...shouldn't she have come back by now? How long had it been? He honestly didn't know, but he knew it hurt terribly.]
[He was lonely. No, maybe he'd always been lonely to some extent, since his summoning or even well before that. And the only one who could ever relieve that pain was one who understood him, one who believed in the same ideals he did and fought with him as though they were but one individual. Though he had put aside his emotional attachment to Arturia, 'Lancer' could not deny his connection with 'Saber' and would never try. Without her now...there was a distinct empty sensation within him now, like his heart had suddenly disappeared from his chest.]
[Diarmuid could be found lingering around various places in Prospero that day--the bookstore, the park, the hotel and everywhere in between--and though he did his best to conceal it the lingering sense of unhappiness was clear in every inch of his demeanor.]

[It was a rhetorical question. Of course both of them aren't, he's just stating it because its polite and what he usually says to people he meets.
Diarmuid notwithstanding, of course.]
[action]
[Cold? Maybe a little. If something had happened to Saber, then they were both to blame for this. So of course he was irritated.]
[action]
[Ever since the call, Shirou unsurprisingly found that their relationship is yet again on a rocky straits. Diarmuid was Saber's left hand, and Shirou was her lover.
Naturally, letting someone does away with her under their noses are a huge blow to their prides as men.
...and their respect to each other probably.]
Have you found any leads yet?

We can't just wait, though. What if the perpetrator decided to go after other targets?

In any case, more information would help a bit.
And convince Diarmuid that there's no way his father could've done so.]
Alright then.
[action]
Emiya, let me make one more attempt to suggest that you could be wrong about my suspicion being needless.

STOP THE MOTHERFUCKING PRESSES.]
What.

[Some part of him was appalled at how ruthless that method was, while his other part deemed the notion of Kiritsugu, the kind man who took him in, was just ridiculous.]
[action]
That is exactly what I mean to say, Emiya Shirou. Instead of allowing Arturia and myself to have the duel we swore to each other and trusting in her blade, he kidnapped Sola and played upon Kayneth's own cowardice to force me to commit suicide before all of them. I was willing to give him another chance here for some idiotic reason, but I was a fool to try.
So do not dare look at me and say it isn't possible.
Do I make myself clear?
[action]
[Shirou stood silent at Diarmuid's reveal, his face clearly showing surprise at the piece of information that was figuratively stabbed into his sort-of empty head.
This lasted for a few seconds before he turned the look into frown.
While he hated to do this against his own father, Diarmuid is still a trustworthy ally. Which means...]
...Fine. I'm going to give you the benefit of doubt just this once.
[action]
Even if only for Arturia's sake, please trust me.
[action]
[He is just going to give a nod at that, not saying any more words for the moment.]
[action]
Someone as clever as him will surely try to eliminate those that persist in searching for Arturia, and since I doubt he will do anything to you that leaves me as the most obvious next target. Assuming there is a next target at all.
I may have to let him kill me again.
[action]
[And sudden answer is sudden.]
