[GDIT boy, why do you make such rash decisions. As such, Gaignun is now on his way to go look for poor Ryu.]

[Ryu is sitting on the ground, holding his sword defensively in front of him as Seiryu slashes at him again and again. Every time he gets up, he's knocked down - and he looks hesitant to really attack the other dragon anyway.]

Ryu!

[Gaignun of course is not hesitant at all to attack the other dragon. Sure it may be Ryu's persona, but it has obviously gone out of control and he knows there is only one way to deal with things gone this berserk.

You shoot them.]

[Seiryu roars in pain, and Ryu scrambles to his feet, tears in his eyes. It's a part of him, and more than that it's a dragon, an Endless... to attack one is extremely difficult for him to do.]

[But he sees Seiryu lunge towards Gaignun with an Agi attack and he springs into action, rushing towards him.]

Hiyaaa!

[He cries out and slashes into the scaly hide of his Persona, distracting it again. It roars and slashes him back, but Ryu is determined not to let Gaignun get hurt.]

[Tag teaming a dragon, now this was something Gaignun had never figured he'd be doing. But, here they are, and Ryu has better not dare to try and sacrifice himself in this state. Sit still and let him help you damn it.]

Ryu get down! You're only going to get yourself more hurt!

No!

[He abandons the sword for the moment and just starts to wrestle with Seiryu, holding it in place as best he can so Gaignun can shoot it, not caring about the gashes appearing in his shoulders and back.]

[Well, Ryu is helping, but Gaignun hates to see the child put himself through such pain. He's just lucky that his not!father here is still a good shot. Still...]

Get out of the way Ryu! I'm not about to shoot you too!

I trust you.

[He holds Seiryu in place firmly, ducking his head to slam it into the dragon's throat, dazing it.]

[That's nice to know but this isn't a game Ryu. Lines like that won't grant you bullet immunity. He almost has to smile though...Ryu's fighting style reminds him a lot of Jr.'s, only with out the guns. He'll keep unloading into Seryuu until the dang thing goes down. Or he runs out of ammo. Which ever comes first.]

[Shush, he's a protagonist. It's a Thing. But guns are unfamiliar and they hurt, and after a few more shots Seiryu stops struggling, letting out a weak roar and disappearing.]

[Ryu sits down, grabbing his sword and breathing hard.]

[As a side character he can judge you from afar, you silly protagonist. As such he'll rush to Ryu's side, checking him over to see how badly he was hurt.]

Why were you out here? [He asked, gently running a hand over bandages on Ryu's head]

[His back and shoulders seem to be the most cut up - they'll heal, but even with healing spells it'll probably be nasty. The bandages are covering a large lump, and from the way the bandages are sticking it was bleeding since the last time the bandages were changed.]

I needed to get stronger... so I could protect people.

You can't do that if you're already injured Ryu...Now come on. Let's get you back inside where someone can have a look at you. [Disobeying this will get you up over his shoulder Ryu.

Please don't make this old man do that.]

*Fortunately, they won't actually have to go inside to find someone who can help at least somewhat. It took Albedo a little longer to find Ryu since he was further away, but he finally shows up, eyes darting between his brother and Nephew. He is not happy to see those gashes, young godling.*

Finish the party without me, did you?

[He just follows quietly, but looks up when Albedo shows up. He waves slightly, just shrugging. He's not really feeling much for words right now, though the shrug does make him wince in pain a bit.]

[If you're not happy about those gashes Albedo, do something about them. You're the one with the heal spell.]

Yes, I'm afraid you're a little too late for this one, Albedo. [He looked back at Ryu to make sure he hadn't done anything to himself with that shrug]

*He's working on it. By the time he reaches the two of them, the White Rider is already trotting along behind him and the Dia spell is ready as soon as he gets within range.*

I guess you're not completely useless outside your office after all, Nigredo.

*He's pretty clearly teasing this time, looking at his brother with a casually amused smirk.*

[Well his head feels better, at least. Ryu just quietly stands nearby, feeling a little embarrassed. Maybe he shouldn't have gone out like this.]

See? You should learn to believe me on these things. Come on you two, we should get back inside before anything else disastrous happens.

For once, I agree with you, Nigredo. Having to fight the White Rider would be far too reminiscent of facing my Shadow for my own tastes.

*He pats Ryu on the head, gently checking the condition of that bump.*

And as for you, don't forget that my healing spell can only do so much at once. With our Personas acting up like this, you'd best wait to recover the slow way until this is sorted out.

[It's gone down mostly, but Ryu looks up at Albedo and nods. His voice is quiet as he moves with them to go inside.]

I just wanted to be able to protect people... I can't keep losing fights like I did the other day.

I know you do Ryu, but you'll just keep loosing if you go into them already injured like that.

[Lost the other day? Please don't tell him that he and Albedo got into it that day with V/V...]

*If that tensing doesn't answer your fears, Nigredo, Albedo's words will.*

So it's my fault, is it? Hardly much of a surprise.

*Well, it turns out his event isn't just making him more likely to ignore the consequences of showing off his more monstrous side...*

No.

[He answers immediately, tensing up.]

It's not your fault. It's my fault for not being stronger. It's my fault for not being able to protect people.

Enough! The both of you. [He's getting a headache because of you two.]

Don't you two dare play the 'it's my fault, no it's mine' game. I've heard it too many times and it is never true.

Now shut the hell up and GET INSIDE!

*Albedo's head snaps up from looking down at Ryu at Nigredo's shout. Just like that, his calm melancholy is gone and there's a look of frustrated annoyance on his face.*

Since when could you order me around, baby brother? While I agree that getting off the streets is a good idea at the moment, you hardly have the right to tell me what I can and can't do.

[Ryu backs away and heads inside, posture tense. He's frustrated at all of this and he wants to snap too, but he doesn't want to do it in front of either of them. They can have their fight. He just heads towards the elevator, intending to go to his room.]

[Ryu, you have the right idea. Good boy.]

Are you going to bring that up every time you're annoyed at me? [It's not his fault he was the last one created!]

Look...I'm sorry. I'm tired, on edge, and what I wanted to say didn't come out right.

*Luckily, Nigredo's apology seems to calm Albedo down. He's still agitated, but who isn't?*

I wasn't intending to be so harsh, myself. Getting ourselves inside and calmed down may be a better idea than either of us thought.

*And then, before Ryu can get all the way through the door...*

And Ryu...I owe you an apology for that old injury of yours.

*It might only be because the event is preventing him from squashing the kind impulse, but yes, he really did say it.*

[... He turns and looks at Albedo, a little surprised. He smiles slightly at his uncle's apology.]

It's all right. I'm sorry for scratching you up. I wasn't thinking.

[That much is obvious. :T ]

Let's just all get inside and heal up.

[The pain is starting to hit him again... and he's emotionally exhausted from having to fight one of 'his own kind'.]

Good idea. [Gaignun is very proud of you two! Those were appologies with out undue self blaming. That was better.]

I could use some tea or something...Are you going to be alright tonight Ryu?

*In response to Ryu's return apology, Albedo just walks over and ruffles his nephew's hair. So many words, but he's never been good at the ones that count.*

I owe you the same, Nigredo. Certain instincts rose too close to the surface.

*But at the remark about tea, a faint hint of his usual smirk comes back.*

I hope you're not planning on drinking the caffeinated version, Nigredo.

[He leans into Albedo's side, feeling a little better about all of this.]

I'll be fine. I think most of this should heal up better once I get a good night's sleep.

Of course not, it's far too late for that. [But he smiles as he says this, taking any sting out of his tired words.]

Good. Sleep can help with many things, but make sure you don't tear those open again.

*He puts his arm around Ryu, careful to avoid the injuries.*

If I have to call out the White Rider for you again tomorrow night, we might just have to lock you in your room for a while, right, Nigredo?

*He's teasing still, trying to get a feeling of normalcy back.*

I'll be careful. You look like you should go to bed too.

[But he can't help but smile at Albedo's arm around him.]

Come on. Let's all get back to our rooms.

That's right. [In reality this was a response to both of their comments. And in he'll go, trusting them to be responsible for once.]

*Albedo is a little bit reluctant to let go of Ryu, but he ultimately moves to follow Nigredo. No more Persona fights around the bitty dragon, please.*

Nigredo ought to spend more time in bed than he does. Even I manage to get a nap in before Dark Hour.

You both should get some more sleep.

[Dragondaddy is a worrier. 8| But he does head towards his room, preparing to curl up and sleep for the rest of the night. He could deal with things in the morning.]
