[One would think little Zia would be smart enough to not go out during something she's already been told is filled with monsters. Problem is, Zia's just curious enough to wonder. Wonder what it is, what's going on, what it looks like. 'cept for one thing: Zia can't fight. She's just a normal girl, head full of music than fighting. So when the Dark Hour hits, the Ura girl is outclassed by even the most simple of Shadows. She just manages to post a video before dropping the phone in her fear, her dark eyes wide]

No. The thing that came from me. From you. They felt... familiar. [Yes, that's it. Valkyrie didn't scare her due to it feeling familiar. Like the Kid. Siren felt familiar, a part of her.] Is it always like that?

It ain't anything we had before we came here. Some kinda thing that lives in our heads and helps us fight. Folks call it a Persona. And...yeah. They say you gotta be in danger for it to show up.

[Something in her head? Zia touches her forehead, troubled. Yeah, it felt familiar, but that thing lived inside her. She had something like that living inside of her]

[But that didn't matter to her, now that she remembers how she feels] You should rest. You did all that... you must be so tired.

[Not a day in the Kid's life he hasn't felt tired. And he looks like he'll stumble back over if a stiff breeze hits him, really. But he'll reach up and put a hand over Zia's forehead, getting her own hand in the mix as he puts his palm there.]

[Kid ain't sharp, but he ain't blind neither.]

I will. I promise. [Her cheeks instantly turn red, and she didn't know why. Guess it was because someone cared about her without any ulterior motives, or so she thought.] But I want to make sure you'll be okay. [Zia's hand turns, gripping his and pulling it away from her face]

[No schemin' to be found in the Kid's brain, Zia. But that ain't hard to figure out. Still, he nods once.]

Good. I'll hold ya to it.

[Kid's hand is still there, holdin' on as gently as his rough hands can give.]

You too. You need to rest too. [Her hand tightens on his without realizing it]

[Hand is still there.]

[And Zia now notices. But she doesn't move her hand. It feels right. It feels like she's got someone here, someone friendly holding her up. Ain't many people she could have said that about before.]

Take my bed, then. I already slept more than you. I should make something for us to have when we wake up, anyway.

Ain't right to sleep in a lady's bed when she's tired. Nearly fell flat on the street when I got mine. You get some rest first.

[Kid finally noticed where his hand is but don't let it move. Both because he's tryin' to make a point, and because...well, he ain't -that- shy.]

[Zia sighs, her lips pursing together. She could be just as stubborn. She knew he needed rest and she cared enough about him to make him-]

[Have to listen to her yawn so long she nearly fell over]

[Annnnd the Kid is going to make good use of his grip and use it to keep Zia from falling, being as careful as he can.

And he looks her dead in the eye, as if to say 'told you so'.]

Still feelin' spry enough to cook, miss?

[Now her cheek heat red hot, but in embarrassment. She hadn't meant to yawn that hard]

... we're going to be hungry when we wake up, though.

That's just fine. I'll fix up somethin' quick in time for ya to wake up.

...not that I mind, but I should probably let you go now, huh?

Sleep. I mean it. You look so tired.

[Oh. Oh, he was holding onto her, wasn't he. Zia lets his hand go slowly, not really sure if she wants to. At least she'd be able to tell if he wasn't sleeping and got up if she held onto him like-]

P-please, just... sleep.

[Kid can't finish that sentence because his strength finally dies out and he falls on his back, resulting in a loud THUD as he makes a very neat reminder of his graceful landings when he returned to the Bastion.

[Zia smiles a bit. Now that was familiar. She tucks the blanket in around him and grab a pillow off her bed just in time for her own strength to fall out from under her. And so Zia sleeps next to him, head tucked on her pillow]
