tvk | [VIDEO/ACTION] First Dawn

[Waking up in a strange place was one thing. It was a place that was filled with the oddest of scents, so much so that the air itself felt different. The people around him were dressed in gaudy, revealing outfits, or clothes that constricted the body fiercely. He was lucky that so far, he had not come across any cars. Instead, his curious poking at the phone in his hands had caused the video to turn on. He was crouching on the ground, knees tucked up to his chest as he tosses the phone from hand to hand, seeing what the buttons do. So far, a few things have appeared on the screen.

The feed twirls a little, showing first him, then people around him - a woman in green; a small boy. There are the faint sounds of voices-

Mom, what's he doing?
I think he's from some fair or other. Probably a street performer.
Maybe he's escaped from an asylum!

For his part, Aengus paid it no heed, and when the dizzying twirl stopped, he had it set on his knees. Ah. This looks like it is doing something at least. Hm... The people had scattered, leaving him alone in what appeared to be a park. Curiosity only goes so far, after all. A look of concern was set upon his brow, though he tried to mask it with his usual winning smile.]

This is a place of which mine eyes have never before gazed upon.

'tis an unusual thing enough to sleep in the Brú and awaken yet somewhere new. What dost thou require of me? It must be a matter of some importance for you to have brought me here, unknown to any, and even so to myself.

At the least, it would be expected to leave a letter before me.

[She laughed a little, looking away] R-really?

A-anyway, do you need any help?

It draws a good picture of it, albeit one with few details. Leaving it open to the imagination of the one hearing it. I think it is a good way to put it.

Where is this Prospero? I have not heard of it before.

[You have a new friend now] Thank you!

It's a weird town. A lot of us aren't even from this world.

There are other worlds? Indeed, I have not once thought of the possibility of such a thing. Yet it seems almost strange for there to be but one. Has it been long that you have been here?

I didn't think so either. But my two friends here are from completely different worlds.

I haven't been here long. Oh, um... be careful at night.

Is there some danger when the sun sets?

[He seemed entirely at ease. His posture was relaxed, despite the warning. Indeed, not knowing of his change in self, he remained entirely sure of himself.]

At midnight. There are monsters. Please, be careful.

Then, I will be on my guard. Do not fear. I have no intention of rushing into danger.

Just... please be careful. I wouldn't want anyone hurt.

Do you need any help?

I... am most confused by this place. If you know it well, I would not be adverse to being directed to somewhere I can acquire food.

Oh! I can be there soon. What kind of food do you like?

I have always been partial to wild boar.

O-oh, I don't think I have any of that...

Then, what types of food do they have here?

They have a thing called ground beef that's pretty good.

Hm... then I should try that. Beef is something of a luxury where I come from.

I'll be right over then!

[It was leftovers, but Zia certainly did have some ground beef. And rice and- oh, throw some of those vegetables in too. Heat it up, and run quickly over to where Aengus is, her guitar over her back] I-I'm sorry it took so long.

[He greeted her with a smile, bowing his head politely.]

Time is of little matter. It passes us all, whether we use it or not.

[Zia hands over the food, smiling a little] It's not much, but... enjoy.

[Surprise showed on his face at her gesture. He had not expected her to cook it; simply to direct him to where he could barter (somehow) for some. Still, he accepted it gratefully.]

Will you sit with me?

[He indicated the grass.]

Oh... I... okay. [Zia sure wasn't expecting that. She sits awkwardly near him and sets her guitar next to her]

You play, young one? That instrument is one which I have seen not in the past.

Oh. I... I do. [She nods a bit, still awkward]
