[So Zuko's been here a couple weeks now... and met some real interesting people.. Learned a bunch of interesting things, even met a good familiar face.]

[But. There's one thing that's perplexing him... This whole. School thing just seems like an awful idea.]

What's this I hear about schooling? I've already been formally educated...

School, hum? It might be good for you to go, Zuko. There is much about this world we do not know.

Wouldn't we learn more about this place from.. you know, experiencing it first hand? You don't learn firebending from textbooks, you have to feel it for yourself.

Firebending is a physical art, and is therefore its own separate study. This world has its own history and customs we must learn to observe. There is no better way to do this than to go let yourself be educated by the people of this city.

Then we can learn the history from the people firsthand as well. I've already been educated.

[You know. In warped Firebender education.]

Well, thing is, not everyone is on the same page on what they're being taught. Plus it will help familiarize you with how things work in this world, especially if you've never encountered them before in your home world.

Sure, not everyone's on the same page, but... didn't you find first hand experience was better for figuring things out?

Well, if you already graduated school back home you shouldn't have to go back to it, right? That just wouldn't be fair!

We were home schooled... I was done by fourteen. [Or something like that.]

Yeah... To be fair we went year-round. I've heard this place takes a break.

Oh, yeah! There's summer vacation, of course, I would die if I didn't at least get a break from school each summer!

Yeah, it is! Some things are different, but some are the same.. they still make me stand out in the hallway when I'm late, it's just not right to do that to a young and innocent girl!

School is almost over for the year anyway, just go to it.

It seems to be a standard thing for people in this world regardless.

I don't think I was formally educated in the way this place appears to handle it, either. But this world does seem to like keeping to its own unusual structure.
