Magic is the force and will of the user, crafted by the wizard's own force of will and talent into form. Many times such things such as rumors and superstition can become reality given how many people believe in it and how strong their faith that it's true is. The stronger the faith, and oftimes the talent behind the faith, the more likely something will become real. As Friday the Thirteenth is something that widespread, there is quite a bit of faith that it's a day of misfortune, as well as many wizards and other spellcasters, of which may be vampires, demons, or Sidhe to name only a few, that may believe in it and add their force of will to craft this day to become a true day of misfortune.
