Well I guess you saw one of the competition there, and the other one is our supposed chaperone who was out getting drunk and seducing men while that happened. You can go ahead and guess.

It was an overcrowded bunch of islands before Second Impact covered most of it in oceans. The people there have gotten so used to living in a sardine can that they have no sense of personal space, either.

Hum. Guess that means the whole "old habits die hard" thing isn't a load of bunk. Is it still overcrowded?

There's a little fewer people, but a lot less space. Tokyo-3 might be the most advanced city on the planet, but even with all the Angel attacks there are still enough people there to overcrowd it.

You think it's because of the Angels it's so crowded? I mean, how many places are even fighting the things?

Well, so far all the Angel attacks except for one have been in or on their way to Tokyo-3. The whole place is built to be a killzone for Angels because NERV knew they'd come there, for some reason.

Honestly, if they start causing as much damage as they did before I got there again, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the civilians find some way to get out...

...Yeah. Definitely confused why it's overcrowded then. Wouldn't wanna live in a dedicated war-zone if I didn't have to, myself.

[A pause.] How bad was the "old" damage, anyway?

The first three Angels that attacked all managed to get to about downtown before Shinji and/or Wondergirl stopped them. They're pretty good about evacuations and using shell buildings, but collateral damage was pretty high.

So, lots of crumbled buildings, smashed vehicles, mooshed houses, and so on. Sounds like the construction business is booming.

Besides the people working for NERV, that's probably why people are still there, come to think of it...

Wonder if they get hazard pay~

...Actually, do they even pay you? I'd, uh, really hope so.
