[Today, April has managed to find the library and it was pretty much the most amazing thing to her, so amazing that she had to read every book she could get her hands on. Of course, then she found out that she can take books out and read them back at her room, as long as she returned them.

So, later that afternoon, April has taken some books out of the library... though she's taken out too many, so she is having trouble navigating through the streets since she can't see past the tower of books she's carrying. She's doing well in dodging past people and lampposts so far, but she's having a few too many close calls and it doesn't help that most of her focus is on making sure the tower doesn't topple over.]

[There's some shuffling with the phone, momentarily showing a room that is covered in books and papers, before focusing on the redhead.]

So, uh, people who have been here for a while, was there a big Shadow before? Like the one that appeared at the casino? And if there was, were people showing any sort of... weird behavior before it appeared? I've, um, kinda got a theory about the big Shadow...

[There's a moment of silence as April goes to organize some of her papers, before she seems to realize something.]

… Oh, and would anyone be up to going to the bar later? [Priorities, April has them.]

[April's stack is looking particularly unstable as she comes to pass by Ledah. Without asking if she needs help, he reaches out to keep the top of the stack from falling.]

You might have wanted to take less books at once.

[April peers around the tower at Ledah, before giving a sheepish grin.]

Ah, thanks. And yeah, I probably should've done that, but I got a bit carried away...

Hm. [He takes about half of the books.] This would be much more manageable. I presume you were heading toward the hotel?

Yep! I've been there before and the drinks are pretty good, but it's always more fun to go with others.

[April's got herself a ~~flunky~~helper, although one with a less impressive stack of books than April herself is toting around. Because why not take an early lunch break to help an acquaintance out?]

Pretty sure you've set a record for books-out-at-one-time, ya kno- oh oh. Left. Left. Incoming pedestrian, not paying attention.

[The benefits of being able to see over a tower of tomes!]

[April smiles and nods.]

Yep, I'm still thinking over it, but I would like to hear what others think.

... Ah, and, thank you, for helping me out at the fight the other day...

[April eeps as the she dodges the pedestrian, before giving Devola a sheepish grin.]

Ehe, thanks. I probably should've brought a bag with me, but I didn't think I would take out so many...

[But when she saw the books, she couldn't help herself.]

[She's noticed April with her tower of books and is walking over]

Do you need help?

[Endou was still trying to get the hang of navigating around the island, but he couldn't help but notice April struggling with the huge stack of books, so he ran up to her.]

[A grin for a grin. It's a way better rule than "an eye for an eye" is.]

Oh, I wasn't chiding you or anything. Well... Maybe a little. But it's all in good fun.

It is a bit surprising though. Will you even have enough room for them all?

[April blinks when he takes some books, but then she gives him a small smile.]

Um, thank you. And yeah, I'm heading back to the hotel.

[April adjusts the books she's holding slightly so that they're more stable.]

Then let's proceed. If you damage the books severely enough, you'll have to pay a fine to the library, so it would be best if you didn't drop them too often.

[Does she have libraries in her world? He doesn't know, and if she gets offended by him presuming she didn't know how a library worked, he doesn't care so much.]

[April blinks at her, before shaking her head.]

Hi, Homura. And no, it's oka-[Of course, then the tower tips to one side and April quickly moves to make it steady again.]

... Um, if it's alright with you, then yeah, I do need help...

[April blinks at him and is about to answer, before the books wobble dangerous and April quickly moves to steady them.]

Ah, y-yeah, if it's alright...

[Endou grinned and moved to grab half of the books from her tower. Being as short as he was though, it didn't take that many books before his view was almost obscured by them.] This is good enough, right?

We can each take half the stack. [So they can both see where they're going]

[April immediately shifts again to make sure the books are stable, before nodding; he's right in thinking that she doesn't know how a library works.]

O-okay, I'll make sure not to drop them. Let's go.

[Onward to the hotel!]

... Ah, my name's April, by the way.

Ledah. You did well in our recent battle.

[April is a nice name, but he doesn't say that.]

[April giggles, before takeing a look at her book tower and grins again.]

... Well, I'm sure I'll be able to make room somehow.

Mmm... yeah. If you can balance them like that, balancing them to fit in your room should be a breeze.

[A thoughtful hum.]

What didja pick up, anyway? I... wasn't really paying attention to that. I admit the deed.

Okay! [April shifts with the tower slightly and crouches down, so that she can balance one half of the tower on her lap and hold the other half out to Homura.] Is this alright?

A bar's as good a place as any to discuss theories, in my opinion.

The bar? Are you a maid there or something? [Sexism, how does it work?]
