[Today, April has managed to find the library and it was pretty much the most amazing thing to her, so amazing that she had to read every book she could get her hands on. Of course, then she found out that she can take books out and read them back at her room, as long as she returned them.

So, later that afternoon, April has taken some books out of the library... though she's taken out too many, so she is having trouble navigating through the streets since she can't see past the tower of books she's carrying. She's doing well in dodging past people and lampposts so far, but she's having a few too many close calls and it doesn't help that most of her focus is on making sure the tower doesn't topple over.]

[There's some shuffling with the phone, momentarily showing a room that is covered in books and papers, before focusing on the redhead.]

So, uh, people who have been here for a while, was there a big Shadow before? Like the one that appeared at the casino? And if there was, were people showing any sort of... weird behavior before it appeared? I've, um, kinda got a theory about the big Shadow...

[There's a moment of silence as April goes to organize some of her papers, before she seems to realize something.]

… Oh, and would anyone be up to going to the bar later? [Priorities, April has them.]

[April blinks when he takes some books, but then she gives him a small smile.]

Um, thank you. And yeah, I'm heading back to the hotel.

[April adjusts the books she's holding slightly so that they're more stable.]

Then let's proceed. If you damage the books severely enough, you'll have to pay a fine to the library, so it would be best if you didn't drop them too often.

[Does she have libraries in her world? He doesn't know, and if she gets offended by him presuming she didn't know how a library worked, he doesn't care so much.]

[April immediately shifts again to make sure the books are stable, before nodding; he's right in thinking that she doesn't know how a library works.]

O-okay, I'll make sure not to drop them. Let's go.

[April is a nice name, but he doesn't say that.]

[April smiles happily at that.]

Hehe, thank you! And um, thank you for joining in the fight, I imagine it would've been a lot more difficult if you hadn't.

[April smiles and nods, before her expression turns thoughtful.]

... Though to be honest, I wished I had my powers back since it would've made the fight a lot easier. It still feels weird, not having them.

[Then she frowns to herself, realizing that made her sound rather reliant on them, which she was before she lost them.]

I doubt I will ever completely adjust to missing my wings, let alone the power the gods granted me.

[That's... not very reassuring, when he thinks about losing it.]

[That gets a curious look from her.]

Um, if you don't mind me asking, what were you before you got brought here?

I was a Grim Angel. An angel who made a sacrifice to more fully be able to serve the gods.

[Whoa, wait. April blinks in surprise at Ledah and her stack of books almost topple over, before she steadies them again.]

So, like an actual angel from heaven? Wow...

... Wait, a sacrifice?

From heaven, yes. That's what you would call me.

The power of the gods does not come cheaply.

[April's silent for a moment while she thinks and when she speaks, she sounds hesitant.]

Is... it alright if I ask what the sacrifice was?

[Wait, what? April blinks at him in surprise.]

I-I see... so I'm guessing you've got them back again... [She's silent for a moment, before looking apologetic.]

[April nods, though her expression is rather sheepish.]
