Dear Die-Ary #2 - Text - Johnny C.

I have a question, although I'm not really expecting much in regards to answers.

How long has this shit been going on? In the town with the monsters, I mean. Are we the first to apparently be teleported here somehow, to do whatever the hell it is we're supposed to do? In fact, does anyone have a substantial clue as to what we're supposed to be doing? As fun and relaxing as killing the shadow monster things are, I'm somewhat curious as to how people came to the conclusion that's what we're meant to be doing. I mean, was there some kind of fucking pamphlet I missed out on when I got here a week back? If there was, I'd love to see it so I know that we're supposedly on the right track in just killing things that appear to otherwise be harmless until we show up.

Though, you know? Who's to really say what the right track is anyway, I guess? Mass guessing as to what people are supposed to do seems to be the norm for society. Maybe we are meant to kill whatever the hell these things are, though I have no clue why that'd apparently mean dragging a bunch of strangers here to do it.

Oh.

By the way, I saw a German Shepherd roaming the streets this afternoon. It was pretty suspicious, and my suspicions were confirmed when I heard it speak. That thing speaks slander, absolutely bile, and I'd suggest staying away from that fucking thing. I had to run just to try and stop hearing it, but no. It's voice is resonating. I hear it still, the things it was saying. It was lying. FUCKING LYING.

Also is there a good drycleaner around here?

I don't know you very well, right? So I'm just going off of what I know of people in general. Don't take it personally.

Even about humans in general? Seriously?

Well. I guess everyone's different. [Or else they'd stop being fun to kill.]

It's nice to be surprised, sometimes. But that happens less and less lately.

Me, I'd take the bad surprises any day. Even a day with all bad surprises and no good ones would be way better for me than a day I could predict completely.

Even if people are unpleasant, I don't think it's a curse to be human.

Yeahbut. What would you actually be free to do, if you didn't have emotions?

From here, it looks like emotions are what make people do so many interesting things. Why would I want them to go away?

The illusion vs. reality is a big thing for you, isn't it?

That's pretty neat to think about, but I don't know what I'd do with knowing either way.
