[When April appears on the feed she looks, well, scruffier than usual, with some smudges of dirt on her cheek and her hair a bit messier than usual. But she still has her usual cheery smile.]

Right, so, I got a couple of things to say today, let's see...

... So, ah, can anyone who knows how to sew help me make a Halloween costume, please? I would really appreciate it and I promise to pay you back somehow.

Next thing, who thinks a horror movie marathon in the hotel lobby is something we should have? Since I've heard they're pretty fun.

And- [She's cut off when this little guy pops his head into view to sniff at the phone, before April pulls him away with a quiet laugh.] I found this guy when I was going out for a walk and it looks like he's homeless, so, uh... Hey, Ledah, is it okay if I at least give him a bath at our place?

[The puppy leans forward to try to sniff and lick at the phone again, while April tries to stop him.]

Great! Because I have a parts order in the mail, some stuff I salvaged from the scrap yard -- okay, Virtue carried most of it, but that's neither here nor there -- and the best idea since TPing the hotel.

Really? And what's this idea you have?

Let's not discuss this in public, Red.

[technologic]

Ah, okay. Where would you like to discuss it, then? [Cause now she's curious.]

[papermache]

There's a shed out by the hotel that I've sort of taken over to store stuff in. I'll send you the map and we can go from there.

[technologic]

Okay, sounds like a plan!

[papermache]

Sure! I'll show you the plans and see what you think.

[Awww yeeaah.

So, meeting at the shed later?]

Mila is wearing considerably more clothing than in her icons, though judging by the work boots, heavy gloves, and the goggles resting on her head, it isn't to keep April from being put off by her scars. She waves as she opens the door, and she gestures at orderly piles of metal and wires.*

Hey, Red. I kinda liberated a bunch of stuff from the garbage, but it wouldn't all fit in my hotel room, so here we are. The plans are on the desk over there.

*Said desk also appears to have been liberated from the garbage; it looks like something you'd find in the high school, one of the legs has been replaced by a block of wood, and there is obscene graffiti carved into the top.*

[Blink, blink as she looks around. By now she's cleaned up a bit after getting the puppy settled at the apartment and such.]

Ah, hi, Mila.

[Welp, she'll be taking a look at those plans then.]

*Mila closes the door behind April and follows to the desk. The plans are indeed for a rolling robot vehicle that drives itself and is about the size of a small school bus.*

The speakers are on the sides and there's a spot to sit inside it with security cameras showing the view out the front. There are emergency controls in there but it mostly just drives itself.

Ooooooh... And what will the speakers be playing?

Ahem.

*Mila presses a button on a makeshift remote control that is currently serving as a paperweight. Instantly, from a set of large speakers in one of the corners, this plays. April may also notice the rainbow flags draped on some boxes near where the speaker system is set up... and the paper Mila pulls out of the bottom of the stack, showing what the machine will look like on the outside.*

[April just... blinks and listens, taking note of the rainbow flags. Then looks at the paper Mila just pulled out. And then she grins.]

... Mila, this is the best idea ever.

Didn't I tell you so? Have some faith, Red.

Well, I wasn't expecting something like a robo-nyancat. But when this is finished, it's gonna be great.

Great! *She shuts off the music.* I've got a good part of the structure started, and we're going with design B for the inside. More room for two people. That good?

Yep, sounds good. How long do you think it'll take to finish with the two of us?

Depends how much work we put into it. You got something big coming up?

Hmmm... Nope, not really.

Good! Then we can hang around here. I know some days you like to take off Shadow-hunting duty and sleep, or whatever you and Angel do, so I'm not gonna work you to death or anything, just come in when you want to.
