[As the feed turns on, the screen is dark for a moment, save for some very few patches of light near the upper corners. It doesn't last long though, as whatever was covering it suddenly moves away to show a pale, white-haired man with ice-blue eyes and is wearing a huge, golden earring on his left ear. Though the look on his face is neutral at best, his eyes show a hint of curiosity.]

Hmm...this is quite interesting. Is this supposed to be Hell? Then again, this seems a bit luxurious, so maybe it is Heaven? But, if it is neither of the two places mentioned, then where exactly am I?

[He pauses for a moment to smoothly run a finger on the side of the device.]

While answers would be nice, it seems much more enjoyable if I find out for myself, wouldn't you think?

[And thus he shuts it off.

Later in the day, you'll find him either sitting around or walking by, quietly looking around as he takes in each and every detail of the city and its people. Though he looks as if he shouldn't be bothered...

2011? Well, I suppose that explains the weird designs of the buildings and what not.

Yes, I have. Though, considering the current time, I wonder if being able to defend yourself with a weapon is truly enough against those...'Shadow' creatures.

There is another way to fight against the Shadows besides weapons. They're called Persona and everyone who gets brought here has one... They're kinda hard to explain, but they can be summoned at night to fight against the Shadows.

[She frowns a bit, since that wasn't much of an explanation.]

Basically, people here can summon a 'pet' of their own to fight against them? [A tiny smile appears on his lips.] Sounds like a rather odd concept, at best.

[She'd seen him on the video feed after the fact, having been busy when it occurred and responding late seeming in bad taste. It was a nice coincidence that had Devola run across him during the course of her daily routine.

Unfortunately all standard greetings kind of evaporated out from her brain when confronted with the lanky young man's... eccentric armor. They are replaced by an irresistible urge to tease.]

Well. I can guess what you value guarding pretty easily... Saw your message on the thing earlier; find anything you need clarified, or are ya still taking in the sights?

[Sad thing is that he was actually born with that armor. Not like anyone knew about it yet, but it'll eventually come to light.

Karna simply shrugs his shoulders.]

A bit of both, I suppose. The place is nice, though I'd like to know more, even if there might be information that'll end up being repeated a few times.

Hmm. Well, I'd like some input as to what job I could fit in. I only have a handful of domestic skills, though they're average at best, but my skills in fighting are of a high level.
