There's a store here that sells weapons specifically, though it's limited to this time period's technology.

In the business district. I can show you, if you want. And we shouldn't have to worry about my powers, since it's after the full moon.

That's alright, I don't want to trouble you. You can just tell me where it is.

It's no trouble at all. I've been keeping indoors a lot since the trouble started, so the fresh air and company would probably do me some good.

[uzuki]

Really Allen, it's alright. I'm fine by myself.

*He sighs, then gives her directions from the hotel.*

Don't worry about it. Being armed is pretty important here, especially since we don't know when the next violent moon event is going to be.

Katsaros Weaponry sells weapons. I never figured out how they got customers when most people here don't know about Shadows.

Hm.. I guess there's only a demand for weapons with us? That is strange.

Yes, I can imagine. It does seem peaceful here most of the time...

It's a nice place, but I kind of miss home, even though it's more dangerous.

I know that feeling too... I guess that since I can't do anything about it now, I'll have to accept it. But, I really do want to go home.

What's your home like?

[uzuki]

I guess you could say it's this planet's future. Where I'm from, humans were forced to leave earth thousands of years ago. So really, everything here is a bit outdated to me. But I guess seeing where humanity came from is interesting.

That's kind of sad... I'm pretty attached to Makai, I wouldn't want to leave.

Demons?

[She had never thought of demons being real.. Then again, she hadn't expected to be whisked away to Earth either.]

They don't have demons where you're from, I'm guessing?

Only in stories, that I know of. They're supposed to be evil though...

Do you think I'm evil? I'm not, but it'd be okay if you assumed that.

Oh no, I didn't mean to imply that.

Demons aren't all evil, any more than humans are all one thing or the other.

Interesting.. But that makes sense.

Angels are worse than us. They don't think for themselves, so they're all whatever the God happens to be, which usually isn't good.

There's a weapon shop that's half-decent, and sometimes you can find stuff in Caliban, though if by some miracle you do, it's usually some hunk of garbage or something you've never used in your life.

[uzuki]

I still haven't gone there yet. I'm interested in seeing it though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to use this Persona thing soon.

Hopefully yours is decent. Mine's good for groups but useless otherwise.

Really? I wasn't sure how they differed. After all, the only one I've seen so far is Allen's, and it seemed pretty powerful.

He's been here for ages, though. So you two know each other?

I see. Yes, we worked together on the same project... For a long time, actually.

[papermache]

Sounds like a long story.

[uzuki]

Well, no not really, actually. He joined the project, and we worked together a little until I became the head of the project. Then he took over after I quit.

[papermache]

Anything big?

[uzuki]

[She nods.]

The KOS-MOS project. I don't know if you heard anything about our world from Allen, but there's something called Gnosis there. They're hostile creatures that have cause immeasurable destruction.

KOS-MOS was a weapon designed to defeat them. She's quite special.

[papermache]

Oh yeah, the thing that's like Black Rivers only not. Does every world out there have one of these things?

A person?

[uzuki]

Well, she's not really a person, she's an android.

[But Shion still speaks of her really fondly anyway.]

Black Rivers?

[papermache]

And?

*Mila groans.* Long story short, these things came up out of the ocean and they go around doing whatever they want. They've already driven a lot of the population into space.
