[23: Action]

[Okay, so this sudden bout of paranoia was not a good thing. Especially since it was getting worse and she was starting to become uneasy around people she considered her friends, which sucked. But there was at least a few people she still felt comfortable and at ease around, which she was grateful for. And even with this paranoia, she still had gifts to give out.

So April will be going around to people's rooms and delivering these gifts to them;

Ledah: These handmade gloves, this coat and a rare book on European history.

Neah: This handmade black scarf

Saori: This handmade teal scarf

Beatrice: This handmade gold shawl

Mila: This handmade black and red scarf

Aengus: This handmade butterfly scarf

Diarmuid: This handmade purple and green scarf

Gaignun: This handmade silver scarf

Ah, yeah. I've got some memories associated with today that I don't want to spend hours thinking about.

Ah, I see... Well, I, um, just wanted to give you this. [Holding a little wrapped package out to him.]

*And he actually does look surprised, despite it being Christmas.*

Yup, this is for you.

...Thanks. Actually, I have something for you, too. I was going to wait until after the full moon, but since you're here anyway, I might as well give it to you now.

*Even if he's currently wondering if you're really here because you want something. But he's not drunk enough to blurt that out...yet.*

[Allen if you blurt that out, you will get a kick in the shin.

April tilts her head slightly and then nods.]

Ah, okay... Oh, and if you want, you can open your present now.

*It's the event, it's ramped up his usual worries that people only even bother to remember he exists when he's useful to them. But he does open the present and smiles when he sees what it is.*

I was actually thinking of getting something like this soon.

[Stupid event. But April smiles a bit more when he opens it.]

Ehe, then it looks like I had good timing when I made it.

No kidding. Here, wait a second and I'll get your gift while I'm putting this away.

Hm? Ah, okay!

*He hesitates a moment, then his good nature wins out over his doubts.*

You can come in and sit down if you want.

Oh, um, sure... [She hesitates for a second, before walking in and going to take a seat in one of the chairs.]

*His apartment is very neat, except for his desk, which has sheets of paper scattered around his computer, along with a pot and cup of dark coffee, a few different kinds of hard liquor and a half empty glass of one of them. He ignores that, heading off to tuck the scarf away and get her gift.*

[She glances over at the liquor, raising an eyebrow slightly but not commenting on it. Though he'll see her looking over at them when he turns to face her.]

*He scratches the back of his head as he comes back with a small wrapped square.*

Sorry, I would've held off if I'd thought anyone would actually come by. I just didn't think anyone would bother.

... Why didn't you think anyone would bother?

Because hardly anyone even pays attention to me when they're not taking orders or in a position where they need my computer skills or a healer. They probably forget I even exist unless I'm actively talking to them...

Well, I didn't forget. You're my friend, so you can bet I wouldn't forget to get a present for you.

...Trust me, it wouldn't be the first time a friend's forgotten about me.

[She frowns slightly.] Then that friend is an ass. Nobody should be treated like that.

It's not just one person. Nobody in my division at Vector even noticed I was missing after our ship got sunk by Gnosis.

*He holds out the small package he brought, waiting for her to take it so he can go back to his desk.*

[She takes the package, though she's still frowning a bit.]

Thank you... And they should get a kick in the head for that.

It's a tendency a lot of people have. I get overlooked constantly, even if I'm right there in the room.

*He sighs and goes over to pick up his glass.*

Sometimes I feel like I'm invisible even when I know I'm not in astral form.

Then you have the right to tell people to piss off if they only talk to you if they want something.
