First Pace [Video/Action]

Excuse me. I’m assuming whoever responds to this is a friend of the owner? I found it lost around here beside this area.

[The long-haired boy pans the screen three times at different angles of his location, which regulars should be able to identify to be one end of the shopping district.]

If you’d like to pick it up for him or her I suppose I could just wait here a while… and could you direct me to a police station? I have no idea how I wound up over here, to be honest.

[Sheepishly, the boy sighs and mutters to himself.]

I was supposed to jog across Inazuma Town this morning too.

Nnnoooo... I mean it's very literally yours. The town around doesn't look familiar, right? Well, it probably shouldn't. Think of it this way: new town, new rules, one rule is that everyone new here gets one of these handy little things.

Ah, the location is Prospero, by the way. In the United States.

Technically speaking, you might not have even flown here. The circumstances behind people's arrival are... mysterious, at best. Completely confusing at worst.

...Really, the reason why we're here is pretty much the same. I wish I could tell you more.

Well, there are theories. Ideas, guesses, that kind of thing. But since the most-used one involves fighting monsters...

...Well, no offense intended to you, but if kids your age are brought here to do fight monsters I'm a bit worried about the whole thing. More than I already was.

[She pauses, as if realizing she just said something completely ludicrous by any normal measure of strangeness, and awaits whatever reaction thus-elicited.]

Yeeeeeah... Come midnight the streets - well, the outside in general - get pret-ty dangerous for about an hour. On the flip side, around then time seems to freeze up for everyone but the people you'll talk to on this thing. So, that's nice for most of the population...

[Dryly.] I can go on some more, actually. Or do I sound sufficiently deranged enough that I should put a sock in it?

I kinda wish I was joking, to be honest...

But yes. Around midnight things get fairly dangerous so please, watch yourself if you're out then.

[She's sparing you the "blah blah kids should be asleep before midnight" stuff at least.]

I think they can get indoors, but it doesn't seem that common -- I've never seen one actually open a door, myself.

As for the people outside, seems there's two types. Folks like you and me who went "wow where is this place I am in Propsero now?" one day, and the locals.

The locals are completely safe from interacting with the monsters at all. It's weird, but there's that much at least. As for the rest of us, well, most people outside seem able to take care of themselves pretty well.

The unscientific description of them would be, "oozy black blobby things with glowing eyes."

They seem to change shape when people get close though, and turn into all kinds of stuff: gloves, tables, orbs... they all wear a mask on themselves somewhere, though.

I... guess not, usually. You're asking the wrong person about that, though.

[She shrugs helplessly.] They like to surprise us sometimes, though.
