Do you mind elaborating further? This is...unusual, at least to me. How does one's wish influence their magecraft, and who is it you're contracted to?

The wish changes the strength of the magic and the powers.

If someone makes a wish to heal someone else, they'll have an accelerated healing rate.

I see. That makes logical sense, at least. Though as I understand it, magecraft and the forms in which it can be used are linked to bloodline more than anything else.
