[Lancer didn't appear on the network himself today. Whether out of shame or cowardice, he didn't know. But today, he simply couldn't show his face. The message he sent out was short and directly to the point.]

I seem to have something of a problem today.

I would like to ask for advice, if I could. Could anyone listen for a minute?

Heh, sorry. I admit I just like talking more than typing, It's easier.

Well... first I'd question how I know it's not genuine. With that skepticism aside, what you're describing seems kind of like a naive dream. If they're infatuated with you, any cutting of ties will hurt them.

I'll believe you: you don't strike me as the lying type at all.

Anyway, I'm not sure if there even is a way to go about it without causing any pain. Unrequited love hurts.

Well, I don't know the person in question here so I can't give you a better answer than something kinda generic. [Or rather, don't know how the conversation with said person will go because what is sleeping through initial character introductions o o o p s]

The problem is, your choices mainly seem to be a) be blunt and sever ties immediately - painful in it's own right, but quick and efficient. Or b) to skirt around the issue and be subtle, dragging it out. The problem with this one is it might not even work at all.

Sounds like there's more to this than just one lovestruck lady -- and no, I'm not going to press you for the whole story.

Do you think appealing to logic would work at all?

Can't say I know much about magic. Or anything about it, really... well, other than whatever's in old ballads and the like; and that's not quite a reliable source.

I don't suppose there's anyone from your time here skilled in, err, magicry?

Bet it'd be too close to prying if I asked what form it was, huh.

[Not a question, a statement. Boundaries we will RESPECT them.]
