Since I assume you have some knowledge of the subject, what do you think caused it?

Almost any way of killing somebody leaves a mark if you know what to look for, that's why we have forensics and everything. It looks way more like natural causes, but that'd be so weird, considering that nobody knows how they ended up over here and natural-causes-dead people don't usually get disposed of.
