[You know, most people upon waking up in an unfamiliar place would... probably start asking questions about said place, how they possibly got there, how they can get back. But Bridge isn't most people. Every since he woke up and discovered the nifty phone he was provided with, he's been playing around with it. Which means various people will probably get silly texts throughout the morning consisting of things like Wow, this is pretty ancient! and Where's the food button? Eventually he'll finish playing around and actually put out a video call sometime around the afternoon.]

Uh, wow. Okay, this thing actually works? I haven't used one of these things since... well, since middle school? Anyways, I was thinking of adding some upgrades to it to make it a little more useful, but... I kind of have no idea where I am. And since I'm missing my Delta Morpher, it's not like I can really call for a ride back to the HQ either. So, anybody know a good electronics store in the area?

I knew something felt off about this place. I thought I just sleepwalked into a random hotel room, but... wow. I've never actually heard of sleep time traveling.

Neither have I, and it would be nice to be able to sleep time travel back home after a while.

We've all been sucked into a video game. Or, well, maybe a movie. Or maybe we're just sharing a nightmare? Then again, they seem rather friendly for zombies.

But it doesn't work like that. Ideas aren't affected by gravity.

I work at an electronics store, but I wouldn't really call it good. Then again, I don't know what technology level you're used to.

And yeah, just woke up here this morning. I honestly thought this was just another one of those weird dreams where you visit your past. You ever have those before?

Not exactly, but I've seen a couple Encephalon Dives that did that. Although you probably have no clue what an Encephalon Dive is, do you?

Yeah, afraid not. But if you wouldn't mind explaining, I'll try to keep up.

It's a process where you link your consciousness to someone else's and to a computer and directly connect to their subconscious world. If the diver and the divee have shared time and space a lot, like if they were friends for a decent amount of time before the dive, it's possible for their minds to resonate and play back memories from the time they knew each other.

It's also possible to use an artificially created Encephalon to visit specific places, but you won't see your memories played out with that.

[Bridge will remain silent for a moment or two, apparently trying to imagine this whole process. Because as funny as it sounds...]

That actually sounds very similar to concepts and ideas scientists of my time were hoping some day to make a reality. Trying to study dreams and memories and stuff like that. That's pretty awesome.

Well, I'm pretty experienced with Dive technology. If you'd like, I could try to explain some of it.
