ITP: Despair
[Voice]
[There's a voice from the phone coming, and the voice sounds as if the owner had been trying to swallow down his tears and desperation before speaking, lacking any of its usually calm composure in doing idiotic things.]
To those who knew Issei.
[There's a small sob.]
He's dead.
[Action]
[You can see a despairing Shirou just sitting on a bench, his eyes looking quite dead.
If there's anything he learned in this world, there's only one thing.
He can't save anyone.
Therefore his ideals could not be realized.
This in itself is such a massive blow that it shattered the facade Shirou Emiya had been wearing ever since Kiritsugu passed away.
Perhaps you should approach him before he does anything too drastic.]

[Goddammit kid, he fucking told you so.]
[No response-->Action]
[That's really too bad. He'd liked Issei-- gotten along with him. Probably the first scholar he'd met that hadn't immediately gotten on his nerves, who didn't mock him for simply not knowing.]
[But maybe more importantly, he knows the difference between a person who can handle the death of a comrade, and one who cannot, and Shirou falls squarely in the second category in Kanda's eyes. So while he might not be the best option for this, he walks up and stands next to Shirou at that bench quietly, giving him a moment to notice he was there. Scaring people in depression didn't help.]
...Oi.
Action
...It wasn't your fault.
[video]
[This is devastating news for Endou, who sort of looked up to Ryudo as a friend and senpai.]
voice;
[video]
[Video]
Issei... the kid with the glasses? But how in the world...

[action]
Action
[Can you see how depressed he is, Kiritsugu?]
[No response-->Action]
[At first, Shirou didn't respond when Kanda called him, still looking straight on whatever's in front of him.
It took him all but 20 seconds to notice the other male.]
...Yes?
[video]
He died trying to save me.
[That's all he said, Lancer.]
[video]
I'm sorry.
[Y e p look who is being down and out.]
[video]
...Saber came back. I fail to believe he won't do the same.
[Action]
[Stated, not asked. He's seen that look a hundred times before.]
voice;
[That voice sounds. Well.
Unlike him. Considering he had lost two of his important people in a row, even if one did came back.]
Is there something you need from me?
[video]
[He looked so down.]
[Video]
...they...
[Got him.]
Video
[action]
Yes?
Re: [video]
['I should've died for him.']
[Action]
[...still blaming himself.]
[video]
Do not prove yourself a hypocrite now, Emiya Shirou.
Re: [action]
Why?
voice;
No, there is nothing I need, Shirou. My apologies for disturbing you.
[ Click! At least that's one less person he has to talk to when he's in his mood. ]
[Action]
[Harsh tone, brotha.]
Blaming yourself isn't going to do any good. If you must place blame, put it on his killers, put it on those that dragged us here. Blaming yourself does nothing but weaken your resolve.
Action
[Emotion. That's a first. He feels like he's seeing Shirou's descent firsthand, though. He won't allow that.]
He'll be back. Death, life... they aren't nearly as threatening in here, Shirou. Within what this town allows, until we get back home... you can live a normal life.
[The one he never had, he thinks.]
[video]
I-
[Well done, Lancer, you've just caused Shirou to be speechless.]
[Action]
[...there's some silence.]
You may have a point there.
not here;
[He'll have to apologize to her for this later on, but for now, he's going to wallow in self-pity.
Or something like that.]
[action]
Action
[Ho fuck he snapped.]
[video]
[Video]
I'm sorry. He seemed like a nice kid.
[Action]
[He might sound a bit arrogant there-- but as an Exorcist, he's learned these things first hand.]
Blame doesn't really help anyone. It's fine to be upset over a comrade's passing-- but blaming yourself for being in this situation doesn't do any good. It's just finger-pointing, and doesn't get anything done.

[...]
But it still hurts.

I see. I'm sorry.
